Citroen Aircross SUV Xplorer Edition Launched At Rs 8.49 Lakh

French car manufacturer Citroen today announced the launch of the Aircross Xplorer edition. This is a limited-edition variant of the popular Aircross SUV. Citroen has launched the all-new Xplorer Edition with an aim to appeal to a set of customers who are looking for unique looking SUV with a sense of adventure. The aircross explorer edition has been launched in the market at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The Aircross Xplorer edition is available at 86 La Maison Citroën showrooms across the nation and you can also book one of these via Citroen’s official website.
Speaking on the launch, Shishir Mishra, Brand Director of Citroën India, said, “The Aircross Xplorer edition showcases Citroën’s dedication to creating exciting journeys for our customers. As a mid-SUV with standout design and unique features, it brings a spirit of adventure while keeping the signature Citroën comfort. This limited edition offers an unmatched driving experience, perfect for those who want to make a statement on the road.”
The Citroen C3 Aircorss Xplorer Edition now comes with several premium features that enhance both style and functionality. The limited edition variant of the Aircoss comes with features like dashcam, footwell lighting, illuminated sill plates, and a striking hood garnish. The exterior of the SUV also gets cosmetic updates like bold body decals and khaki colour inserts for a bold or rugged look. Other than these cosmetic upgrades, Citroen is also offering a rear seat entertainment screen as an option.
Citroen is offering the Xplorer edition in two package options. The first one is called Standard and the other one is Optional. The Standard pack is offered at a price of Rs 24,000. This is over the price of the base variant that the SUV is based on. Coming to the Optional variant, it costs Rs 51,700 and it comes with rear-seat entertainment system and a dual-port adapter after the Standard package.
Citroen launched this mid size crossover or SUV in the market last year and it directly competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate in the segment. The Citroen Aircross was initially launched as the C3 Aircross but, the brand later decided to remove the C3 from the name.
The SUV comes with Citroen’s signature front grille. The SUV gets Chevron logo which extends to meet the twin LED DRLs. The grille and the DRLs are an extension of the logo. Citroen offers a split lower grille with contrasting body colour accents in it. The SUV offered with both 5 and 7 seater configurations.
The third row seats can be removed from the car very easily when not needed. This would open up more space for luggage in the boot. The SUV comes with a typical Citroen like dashboard with a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system, AC, multi-function steering wheel and so on.
The SUV is available with two petrol engine options. There is a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine that generates 81 Bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. The SUV also gets a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged engine that is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission option.
This variant generates 108 Bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. The automatic variant generates 205 Nm of peak torque. Price for Citroen Aircross SUV starts at Rs 8.49 lakh, ex-showroom and goes all the way till Rs 14.55 lakh, ex-showroom.
