Just-Launched Citroen C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition: Walkaround Video
Citroen, the French automaker has introduced a limited edition version of their compact SUV which is the C3 AirCross. This new edition is named as the C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition and it is more feature loaded than the regular version. The car is shown to us in a walkaround video uploaded by Anubhav Chauhan on YouTube.
The host has titled the video as “Limited with more features” indicating that the C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition will be available for a limited time only and it offers more features than the regular C3 AirCross does. Now, let’s talk about the car in detail.
The host starts the video with the front fascia of the car. He mentions that the C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition is based on the mid variant of the car and it comes at an additional cost of just Rs. 1,000.
The C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition is priced at Rs. 13.24 lakh ex-showroom and it is available only with the automatic transmission only. If someone wants to get the automatic transmission, he can buy the regular C3 AirCross. The car is also available with seven seat configuration.
The C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition is available in a single color option which is blue with white roof. Additionally, this edition gets decals on the body to add to the uniqueness.
A major letdown of this car is its keys. First of all, the keys are very basic. Secondly, remote lock/unlock function is offered in one key only. Additionally, the SUV does not get keyless entry or push button start.
The front profile features reflector based halogen headlamps and misses out on fog lamps. Features such as front parking sensors or camera are also missing.
The car drives on 17-inch steel rims with fray wheel caps. The indicators are mounted on ORVMs which can be electrically adjusted and manually folded.
The rear profile of the SUV misses out on wiper with washer, reverse parking camera and LED taillights. A good thing is that defoggers are offered. The host shows us the boot space of the SUV which is one of the largest in the segment. The second row does not get 60:40 split, However, the entire seat can be folded together to extend the boot space.
Now, let’s talk about what additional features or accessories are offered in the C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition. By paying just Rs. 1,000 extra you can get two blue and orange themed cushions, illuminated chrome scuff plates, seatbelt covers finished in blue, leatherette upholstery with 7 badge and blue elements and a dash cam. The car shown in the video is not fitted with a dash cam but the host mentioned that it is offered in the Dhoni edition.
Other key features of this SUV include digital instrument cluster, steering mounted multimedia and MID controls, TPMS, 10-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity and a manual AC.
The C3 AirCross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 110 PS of power and 205 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter.
