Citroen C3 AirCross Dhoni Edition Launched At 11.82 Lakh

French car manufacturer Citroën announced the launch of a special edition version of their SUV, the C3 Aircross, in the market. This newly introduced special edition is called the “Dhoni Edition” and has been launched to celebrate legendary cricketer and brand ambassador, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The price for the Dhoni Edition C3 Aircross starts from Rs 11.82 lakh, ex-showroom.

Citroën India recently roped in popular cricketer and former captain of the Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni, as the brand ambassador. According to the brand, the ‘Dhoni Edition’ C3 Aircross embodies Citroën’s brand philosophy and commemorates India’s passion for cricket, offering a unique and attractive option for consumers.
The Dhoni Edition C3 Aircross features a range of custom accessories and design elements, making it exclusive for both cricket and auto enthusiasts. Each vehicle comes equipped with Dhoni decals, color-coordinated seat covers, as well as cushion pillows, seat belt cushions, illuminated sill plates, and a front dashcam.
In addition to these cosmetic upgrades, Citroën is also offering special Dhoni goodies in the glove box. Only 100 units of the Dhoni Edition are available, and one of these 100 units will contain an exclusive, signed glove by Dhoni himself. This adds an element of surprise for the customer.
The C3 Aircross is the third product from the French car manufacturer under their C-Cubed platform. The C3 Aircross uses the same platform as the C3 hatchback and the eC3 electric hatchback. The C5 Aircross is currently the most expensive SUV on offer from the manufacturer. The C3 Aircross shares the same front design as other Citroën models.
We see the Chevron logo at the front, which extends to the front grille. There are twin LED DRLs, halogen headlamps, a faux skid plate, fog lamps, and more. It is not the most premium-looking SUV in the segment (both in terms of looks and features). Citroën offers a variety of customization options to its customers from the factory. It is available with both 2-row and 3-row seating configurations.
The SUV is powered by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged engine that generates 110 PS and 190 Nm of peak torque. The SUV was initially offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Earlier this year, Citroën filled in a major void by introducing a 6-speed automatic transmission. The automatic variant generates 15 Nm more torque than the manual version.
Last year, Citroën showcased their upcoming model Basalt. The compact SUV with a coupe-like design looks interesting and is a different-looking product from the manufacturer. The Basalt is expected to be launched in the market later this year.
