Citroen Releases New Video Showcasing Features Of The C3 And Aircross [Video]
The C3 and Aicross are both part of Citroen’s C-Cubed program. The newest product of this program- the Basalt, was launched recently in the domestic market. Alongside the launch, Citroen did a major rejig on the variants and equipment lists of the new C3 hatchback and C3 Aircross (now known as the Citroen Aircross), packing more value into them. The revision has upped their VFM quotient and made them more competitive in their respective segments. The manufacturer is now actively working on raising awareness of the advantages of the C3 and Aircross. A new video was recently shared on Citroen India’s YouTube channel explaining the plus points of C3 and Aircross.
The video starts by talking about the connected car tech and remote start (using My Citroen Connect app) on the C3 hatchback. Next, it talks about the extensive focus that the Aircross has on safety, as it offers 6 airbags on all variants.
It further speaks about the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox offered on the C3, powered by the Gen 3 turbo-petrol engine. It explains how this combination makes journeys comfortable. Finally, it highlights the large boot space offered by the Aircross SUV. It comes with a boot capacity of 511L.
What’s New On The 2024 Citroen C3?
The 2024 Citroen C3 has received significant updates, and several features have been added to it. The base price still stands at Rs. 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom), while the revised higher variants now come with higher prices as well (up by 30,000).
One of the biggest highlights is the inclusion of six airbags as standard, making the C3 safer than ever before. The top variants also get LED projector headlights. Another notable upgrade is the addition of electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
Citroen has introduced automatic climate control in the 2024 model. The power window switches, previously located in the centre console, have been repositioned to the door panels, improving convenience for both the driver and passengers.Additionally, the fully digital instrument console offers a modern touch to the cabin.
All trims, except the top-end Shine, are powered by a 1.2L turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 110 PS. For the first time, Citroen has introduced a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission, which is exclusively available on the Shine turbo variant. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 82 PS.
The updated C3 goes up against models like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Tata Punch. With its new features and rejigged variants, the C3 is better positioned now, offering more value for money than before.
What’s New On The 2024 Citroën Aircross?
The new Citroën Aircross comes with several changes in both the exterior design and on the inside. It now gets LED projector headlights and power-folding and electronically controlled ORVMs.
Inside, Citroën has upgraded the Aircross by replacing the manual air conditioning with an automatic climate control system. It comes with more soft-touch panels than before and gets more premium trims. There are rear AC vents offered and the power-window switches now sit on the doors.
The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system continues on the new model as well. The SUV offers 40 connected features and comes with over 70 accessory options.
The updated SUV comes with six airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard. There are 40 safety features offered- including electronic stability control (ESP), a tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill hold assist.
