Mahindra Thar Driver Brutally Thrashed For Crashing Into And Killing Stray Calf [Video]
We all know that in India the chances of stray cattle coming onto the road are very high. Now, most of the drivers manage to avoid them. However, sometimes these cattle can get involved in accidents with motor vehicles and get killed. We understand that it’s very unfortunate; however, we can assure you that nobody does this intentionally. But due to the increase in the number of mobs on roads these days, sometimes such drivers get beaten on the road. Recently, one such incident of a Mahindra Thar driver getting brutally beaten on the road after killing a stray calf has been shared online.
This video of a group of mobs beating a Mahindra Thar driver on the road has been shared on X by Mohammed Zubair. As per the report, this incident took place in Kathua, in Jammu and Kashmir. This clip starts with a group of mobs mercilessly beating a man with sticks and hands.
It can be noted that a few other people around were holding cameras and were recording this shameful act. The reason for beating this man was that he accidentally killed a stray calf on the road. The man who was getting mercilessly beaten on the road was continuously begging the mobs to leave him.
However, no matter how many times he requested, he was being beaten by the stick on his back and legs. One of the accused was also seen kicking him and even twisting his arm in order to break it. The main accused then also asked this man to touch the feet of the calf which was dead on the road. And when he did that, he was beaten for some more time.
Who were these people?
As per the post, the man who was getting beaten is Ramesh Kumar. Meanwhile, the main accused person who was seen with a stick beating Ramesh Kumar is Ranveer Singh. At the moment, the investigation on the matter is underway and whether Ranveer Singh has been arrested or not has not been reported.
What happened next?
The video, after the first part of Ramesh Kumar getting thrashed, shows him inside a government hospital’s emergency ward. His wife asked him to remove his t-shirt to show the scars and blood clots he got after getting beaten continuously by a stick.
It was also shown in the video that the family members of Ramesh Kumar even staged a protest on the main road. They all blocked the road and demanded the police authorities to arrest the main accused Ranveer Singh for his shameful act.
They stated that no driver wants to kill any animal on the road. However, if by mistake an accident like this takes place, this does not mean that the driver should also be killed on the road. The family members stated that they want the state government and police to look into the matter.
Mobs are getting out of hand
In this particular scenario and many other similar cases, it has been noted that mobs on the road take the law into their own hands. They believe that they have the moral right to thrash anyone on the road if they get involved in an accident. However, this cannot be any further from the truth.
No matter what the case is, no person is allowed to beat anyone on the road. We have police authorities and courts to decide if the accused needs to get punishment or not. Thankfully, in this case, the man was left after being beaten for some time. However, there have been cases where people on the streets have even killed people for such accidents.
