Euler Motors has launched the Turbo EV 1000, which it calls the world’s first dedicated 1-tonne electric mini truck. Priced from ₹5.99 lakh ex-showroom, the vehicle is designed for the last-mile delivery sector and small businesses looking for lower running costs.

Big Savings Over Diesel

According to Euler, operating expenses for the Turbo EV 1000 are about ₹1.25 lakh lower per year compared to diesel-powered rivals. The savings come from cheaper charging versus fuel, fewer maintenance requirements, and the absence of complex engine servicing. The electric powertrain has fewer moving parts, which reduces wear and service intervals.

The vehicle’s range is rated between 140 km and 170 km, suitable for daily city and suburban routes. It generates 140 Nm of torque, which supports the 1,000 kg payload capacity. The top speed is 70 km/h in Thunder mode, with driving modes balancing performance and energy use.

Fast Charging, Flexible Variants

The Turbo EV 1000 supports CCS2 fast charging, which can add 50 km of range in 15 minutes. This is aimed at fleet operators who need to reduce downtime between trips. With the standard 3.3 kW onboard AC charger, a full charge takes 4 to 5.5 hours, making overnight charging practical for most users.

The truck is offered in three variants. The base City version at ₹5.99 lakh has a 76.8V system with a 15.36 kWh battery. The Fast Charge model at ₹7.19 lakh adds a 320V system for rapid charging. The top Maxx variant, priced at ₹8.19 lakh, features liquid cooling and a larger 19.2 kWh pack for more range and better battery management.

Safety Built In

Euler has equipped the vehicle with disc brakes on 13-inch wheels for better stopping power than drum-based competitors. Regenerative braking feeds energy back into the battery and reduces wear on components. The truck carries an IP67 rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water.

The battery pack is integrated into the chassis to optimise weight balance and cargo space. In the Maxx variant, liquid cooling helps keep the pack at the right temperature for consistent performance and longer life.

Taking On Tata And Mahindra

The Turbo EV 1000 enters a space dominated by diesel vehicles like the Tata Ace and Mahindra Jeeto. Few electric options exist in the 1-tonne payload category, making this launch notable.

Euler has also focused on financing, with down payments starting at ₹49,999 and monthly EMIs beginning at ₹10,000. This lowers the entry barrier for small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to move to electric.

Policy support strengthens the case for adoption. The FAME II subsidy, PLI manufacturing incentives, and state-level schemes reduce the cost of ownership. Many cities are also restricting diesel vehicles in commercial zones, giving electric trucks an advantage in access.

The launch comes at a time of rapid growth in e-commerce and last-mile logistics. With a 1-tonne payload, practical range, and competitive pricing, the Turbo EV 1000 is positioned directly at this demand.
