Mahindra has started the delivery of its much-awaited electric SUV in India. Many people who initially booked the top-end Pack Three variant of the EV have started taking their vehicles home. Here, we have one such video of a BE6 owner sharing his experience with the vehicle after taking delivery.

The video has been shared by RNK Autos on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to the owner of the BE6 and asks him why he bought the BE6. The owner mentions that he was using an ICE vehicle, and when he started looking for an EV, he checked out the Curvv.ev and other vehicles in the segment but was not very happy with their overall looks and features. It was then that he saw the BE6, and it looked different from anything already on sale in India.

He went ahead, took a test drive, and booked the car. He liked the unique design, premium features, and comfort that the BE6 offers. He mentions that he has not purchased a home charger yet, as Mahindra is charging extra for it. He is currently relying on fast chargers, and it takes him around 40 minutes to fully charge the batteries.

The owner mentions that he took delivery 3-4 days ago and has already done a small road trip to Rishikesh with his friends. He has already driven over 1,000 km with the EV.

He says that the performance of the BE6 feels great, and for him, there is no comparison, as he was using a petrol car before this. He is really happy with the performance and braking of the BE6. He also mentions that the car can seat five people comfortably, but the under-thigh support is an issue in the rear seat.

Four people can comfortably travel in the car. The car is wide enough to accommodate three people comfortably in the rear seat. Due to the sloping roof design, the headroom is slightly less in the rear. The owner mentions that people have stopped him on the road to inquire about the car, as many are not aware of this new model. Most of them are attracted by the sporty and unique look of the BE6.

The battery pack was another reason why the owner didn’t go for the Curvv.ev or the Hyundai Creta Electric. Both offer a smaller battery pack compared to the BE6. He bought the 79 kWh version, and it looks like he is getting around 500-550 km of range with the BE6. The range will improve depending on driving style and terrain.

The owner mentions that he didn’t like the glass roof with illumination. He says he would have preferred a panoramic sunroof instead. He also mentions that the panel on the center console, which acts as a partition between the driver and co-driver seats, makes minor rattling noises at high speed. He is a bit worried about the EV, as he feels diagnosing an issue in the vehicle will be a challenge due to the number of sensors and the technology used.

He is really happy with the performance and mentions that the Level 2 ADAS, along with other safety features, helps make the drive much safer. He has also used the auto park mode in the BE6. The owner paid around ₹29 lakh for the BE6 and is happy with the product so far
