Indian car manufacturer Tata recently launched the limited edition versions of the Tata Safari and Harrier in the market. Tata calls it the Stealth Edition, and these models were first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The official launch of the Stealth Edition happened a few weeks ago, and deliveries of the SUVs have also begun. A video of India’s first Safari Stealth Edition being delivered to a customer has surfaced online.

The video has been shared by Puneet Tata on their Instagram page. In this video we see the customer take delivery of their new Safari SUV. The post mentions that this is India’s first Stealth Edition. Tata launched the Stealth Edition of the Safari and Harrier to celebrate 27 years of the Safari brand in the Indian market.

As mentioned above, this is a limited edition model and Tata will be only producing 2700 units of Safari and Harrier in the market. The customer is welcomed to the delivery point after finishing all formalities. Once this is done, they all line up of photos and then the car is driven out of the dealership.

Stealth Edition

The Stealth Edition of the Safari looks the same as the regular or Dark Edition Safari on the outside. However, Tata has made minor changes to make it look different from the rest. The main attraction here is the paint job. The SUV gets a unique matte black shade. There are no chrome accents anywhere on the exterior. The SUV features a gloss black front grille, 19-inch alloy wheels with a new design, a Stealth badge on the fenders, and Safari branding at the rear.

The SUV retains the same old projector LED split headlamp setup, a welcome LED bar that meets the dual-function LED DRLs, a blacked-out skid plate, ORVMs, all-LED tail lamps, and more. As we move to the interior, we see a few more changes. The SUV gets an all-black interior, which Tata calls Carbon Noir, along with a Stealth badge inside the cabin. The dashboard features a combination of black and carbon-fiber finish. The dashboard design remains the same.

Stealth edition comes with features like 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2+ ADAS, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, connected car features, and more. The SUV also comes with adjustable driver armrest, air-line style headrest of rear seats too.

The Safari Stealth Edition is offered with both bench and captain seats at the rear. For some reason, Tata is not offering a manual gearbox option with the 6-seater version of the Stealth Edition variant. Tata Safari Stealth Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine as the regular Safari and Harrier. The diesel engine generates 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque.

When compared to the regular Dark Edition, the newly launched Stealth Edition of the Safari is about Rs 25,000 more expensive. Price for Safari Stealth Edition starts at Rs 25.75 lakh, ex-showroom and goes all the way till Rs 27.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
