The Indian government has rolled out GST 2.0 to make sure that consumption in the Indian market increases. With the new GST 2.0, the government aims to simplify India's indirect tax system, reduce the number of slabs, correct inverted duty structures, and provide relief to key consumption sections like automobiles.
As a result of this new structure being rolled out just before the Diwali festivities, automakers are expected to see a lot of new car buyers. Maruti Suzuki, especially, will be benefiting a lot from the recent reductions, as it is the largest carmaker in the country and will now be able to sell a lot more vehicles.
