It starts by showing the City Apex Edition on display at what looks like a Honda showroom. The special edition is available only on the mid-spec V and VX trims. It is more or less an accessory package installed on the regular car. OEMs coming up with ‘editions’ instead of all-new products is a trend that’s currently on the rise. It helps to keep an ageing model stay appealing to the masses, and generate more sales.

Honda City Apex Edition: A Closer Look At It

The car in this video wears the Meteoroid Grey Metallic colourway. It can also be had in other colours like Platinum White Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Golden Brown Metallic. The design remains largely unchanged. The only differences you could spot on the exterior are a couple of badges. Apex edition badges can be seen on the front fenders and the boot. On the fenders, it is just the logo, while on the boot ‘Apex Edition’ lettering can be seen.

Other exterior highlights of the regular City like the projector headlights with LED DRLs, connected by a thick chrome bar, blacked-out grille, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, wraparound LED tail lights, reverse parking camera, sensors and lane watch camera have all been retained on the special edition as well.

The car gets 6 airbags as standard. There are also rear parking camera and sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, automatic headlights and some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features offered.

Under its skin, the City Apex Edition remains the same as the standard car. It is powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT (continuously variable) automatic transmission. This powerhouse is capable of producing 121 PS and 145 Nm.
