The Honda Elevate is probably the least talked about car in the compact SUV segment. While the market is full of mods for the Creta, Seltos, Kushaq and Taigun, not much option are available for the Elevate. Even you may have seen very few modified Elevate SUVs but today, we will cover a Honda Elevate whose interior has been beautifully customized.

Watch on YouTube

The project is taken up and showcased on YouTube by Vig Auto Accessories who is renowned for their base to top conversions on multiple cars such as Kia Carens, Kia Seltos, Scorpio N and the Hyundai Creta. A 3 minute video is uploaded on their channel to highlight the work done by them on the Elevate.

The host starts the video with a brief introduction of the project and mentions that the car has came in for audio upgrade and interior modification. The Elevate comes in an interior color combination of black and brown. Additionally, in the top end trim, the dashboard comes leather wrapped giving it a luxurious feel. With this modification, they have changed the brown color to ice grey which is offered in the Hyundai Creta.

As this car was not the top end trim, all the panels were hard plastic. First of all, they worked on the door pads and wrapped the entire arm rest area in ice grey leather along with soft touch feel for extra comfort.

Additionally, the upper part of the door is also leather wrapped in same color which makes it visually appealing and more premium. All four doors are wrapped in the same manner.

The host then shows the seat covers of the car which are custom made by them in house. The specially made seat covers also follow the same theme of ice grey with white. Additionally, these seat covers come with extra cushioning for comfort and perforation for better air flow. The seat covers feature blue piping which matches the body color. The 7D mats installed in this Honda Elevate are finished in black and blue which is the exterior color of the SUV.

The leather wrapping continues on the dashboard which is leather wrapped in ice grey in the same manner as offered by the company in the top end trim.

Furthermore, the leg rest area of the center console is also leather wrapped highlighting that they take care about all the small details. The only disadvantage of the ice grey interior is that it will get dirty really often and maintaining it properly will cost much more than maintaining a hard plastic or dark color leather interior.

Now, let’s talk about the audio upgrade. The infotainment system has been kept stock but the speakers are upgraded to Sony ES series. Additionally, damping has been done to reduce road noise and vibrations which in turn makes the audio experience better.

While Honda sells only the petrol engined version of the Elevate in India currently, the SUV will receive an electric powertrain in future. Here’s our story about 6 new Honda cars and SUVs coming to India in the next 2-3 years.
