Hyundai Creta King Edition Launched To Celebrate 10 Years Of Creta In India

The Hyundai Creta has been the undisputed leader of the mid-size SUV market in India for a decade now. So, in order to celebrate its 10-year anniversary in India, Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the new Creta “King” Edition in India. This particular edition is based on the top-of-the-line variant of the Creta and gets a ton of unique details that justify the “King” Edition name.

Hyundai Creta King Edition Launched

To commemorate 10 long years of market dominance of the Hyundai Creta, the company has launched the King Edition Creta. Its main highlight on the outside is the matte black paint option, which gives it a very menacing appearance. Apart from this color, the company is also offering Abyss Black, which is a glossy black color, and Atlas White as options.

Other notable highlights of the Creta King Edition include “King” embossed seat belt covers, headrest cushions, carpet mats, key cover, and door cladding. The vehicle also gets special “King” emblems on the outside to signify that it is the new edition model. Being based on the top-of-the-line variant, the King Edition Creta comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, which have been painted in gloss black.

It also gets a powered driver seat with memory function, a passenger seat with 8-way electric adjust, an in-built dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay via a wired-to-wireless adaptor, dual-zone climate control with touch panel, and a sliding front console armrest with storage.

Creta King Knight Edition

In addition to the Creta King Limited Edition, the company is also offering the previously launched Knight Edition with the King Edition as well. This variant is called the Creta King Knight Edition. It gets matte black alloy wheels, a unique Knight Emblem, and a complete exterior blackout.

In terms of pricing, the Creta King and King Knight Edition start at Rs 19.34 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 20.91 lakh. The Creta King Edition with petrol IVT gearbox is priced at Rs 19.34 lakh, the King Knight Edition Petrol IVT is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh, and lastly, the King Limited Edition Diesel AT is priced at Rs 20.91 lakh. The standard Creta starts at Rs 14.48 lakh.

The Creta King Edition petrol variant gets the 1.5-litre MPI petrol engine, which is a naturally aspirated motor. It is capable of producing 113 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other engine option is the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel motor, which is capable of producing 114 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The former gets an IVT gearbox, while the latter gets a 6-speed torque converter.
