Hyundai Exter Knight Edition Launched To Commemorate 1st Anniversary Of Tata Punch Rival

Hyundai, the South Korean brand has launched a de-chromed and dark version of their micro SUV, the Exter. The launch is done as a way to celebrate one year of the micro SUV in India. The Exter Knight Edition comes with visual mods in both the exterior and the exterior which give the micro SUV an aesthetic and pleasing look.
Variant options for the Exter Knight edition start from the SX trim. The SX Knight Edition is priced at Rs. 8.38 lakh. If you want to buy a higher variant you can go for the SX (O) Connect, the price for which starts at Rs. 9.70 lakh. You can get the Knight Edition Exter with either a manual transmission or an AMT.
Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai India, commented on the launch and said that,
The main highlight of the Exter Dark edition is its totally blacked out look. They key changes on the exterior include black painted side sill garnish, red accents on front bumper & rear tailgate, red Front brake calipers, black Front & rear skid plate, Black painted 15 inch alloy wheels on SX (O) Connect trim, Hyundai logo and Exter emblem in black color and a knight edition emblem on tailgate.
The interior of the micro SUV also follows the same theme of black with red accents and stitching. Additions in the cabin include red footwell lighting, black satin interior door handles and steering, metal scuff plate, floor mat with red stitching and a exclusive seat upholstery with red stitch and piping.
The Knight Edition of the Hyundai Exter is available in five monotone color options and two dual tone color options as following –

Ranger Khaki
Newly introduced Abyss Black
Newly introduced Shadow Grey

There are no mechanical changes in the Hyundai Exter Knight Edition as compared to the regular Exter. The micro SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre four cylinder Kappa petrol engine that manages to produce about 82 BHP of power and 114 Nm of torque. The regular is also offered with a CNG powertrain which is not available with the Knight Edition.
The Hyundai Exter is aimed directly at the hot selling Tata Punch micro SUV. While the Exter is offered with petrol and CNG options, the Punch goes a step further by offering an all-electric powertrain in addition to petrol and CNG trims.
