Hyundai Venue Second Generation Spotted Testing In India For The First Time
The Hyundai Venue sub-compact SUV has been on the market for over five years without a generation change. So to change this, Hyundai has started working on the development of the next-generation Venue. Recently a fully disguised test mule of the new Venue was spotted for the first time in India. Prior to this spotting this new generation model was spotted testing in South Korean. This newly spotted mule looks exactly the same as the international mule which was spotted earlier.
2025 Hyundai Venue Test Mule Spotted In India
This particular fully disguised test mule of the Hyundai Venue was spotted in the outskirts of Delhi. The images only show the rear and right side of this sub-compact SUV. Not much is visible due to the heavy black covering of the vehicle. However, we can note that the SUV will get a brand-new set of sleek-looking LED tailights which will also get a connecting light in the middle.
Apart from these the SUV which was spotted was seen wearing grey wheel covers. This suggests that it could be a mid-spec variant. Other notable highlights include a redesigned rear bumper and shark fin antenna on top. As for the over-all silhouette, it looks identical to the Venue which is presently on sale.
Hyundai Venue facelift Korean test mule
As mentioned this spotting of the new generation Hyundai Venue is the first in India. However before this the same model was spotted testing in South Korea. During that time images showing the front fascia of this SUV were shared online. It was noted that the SUV will come with the same split headlamp setup.
On top there were LED DRLs and the main headlights units composed of LEDs were located on the middle of the bumper. As for the most notable highlight of this SUV, it was equipped with a brand-new grille with rectangular elements. Additionally, the lower middle section of this test mule was seen equipped with a radar for ADAS Level 2.
Currently, the Venue sold in India in its top-spec variants is offered with ADAS Level 1. Its list of features includes Forward collision warning, Lane departure warning, Forward collision avoidance assist, Lane keeping assist, Lane following assist, Driver attention warning, Leading vehicle departure alert, and High beam assist.
Now with the addition of a proper radar sensor, the new Hyundai Venue will get features such as adaptive cruise control and auto emergency braking along with others. Presently its rivals like Mahindra XUV 3XO and the soon-to-be-launched Kia Syros are offered with ADAS Level 2. Apart from these, the new Hyundai Venue is expected to get a new interior layout with more premium materials and features as well.
New Hyundai Venue: Powertrain options
Most likely the new upcoming Hyundai Venue second generation will come equipped with the same powertrain options as the present model. These could include the same 1.0 turbo-petrol, 1.5 diesel and 1.2 NA petrol engine options. As for the pricing expect to see a slight bump over the current model’s price of Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh due to numerous feature additions.
Once launched the Hyundai Venue new generation will take on the rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Kia Syros, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
