Paris Olympic Medal-Winning Indian Athletes Felicitated With Brand New MG Windsor EVs

During the Paris Olympics this year, many of our Olympians performed well and secured medals. The Indian contingent exhibited good performance and during the Olympics, JSW MG Motor India had announced that they’ll be honouring all the medalists by gifting them a brand new MG Windsor EV. MG has now gifted a total of 25 Windsor EV to the olympians.

Windsor EV gifted to olympians

These Olympians were gifted the Windsor EV at an event in Chandigarh. The keys to their new Windsor EV were handed over in the presence of Parth Jindal, Managing Director of JSW Cement & JSW Paints, and Founder of JSW Sports, Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus, JSW MG Motor India, Biju Balendran, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer, Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer, JSW MG Motor India. Many dealers were also present at the event.

MG handed over the keys of Windsor EV to Olympian Neeraj Chopra, Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh, Swapnil Kusale, Aman Sehrawat, Vinesh Phogat, Indian hockey team which includes PR Sreejesh, Harmanpreet Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Sumit, Sanjay, Manpreet Singh, Raj Kumar Pal, Shamsher Singh, Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, Jugraj Singh and Krishan Bahadur Pathak.

Windsor EV gifted to olympians

MG Windsor was launched in the market few months ago and it is the first electric CUV in the market. It was launched at an attractive price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh initially with MG’s BAAS feature. In this scheme, the customer will have to pay the price of the car and not the battery. He’ll have to pay a subscription fee for every kilometer the car is driven under this scheme.

Windsor has been doing pretty well for MG since the launch. Last month, MG sold over 3,000 units of Windsor EV and it is also the best seller from the brand at the moment. MG Windsor gets a very uniqe retro yet modern design. It in fact would remind you of a space ship with is bulky curvy design.

The Windsor EV is extremely spacious and that is one of the main USP of this product. It focuses on comfort of both driver and the occupants. Coming back to MG Windsor EV, it offer blacked out leatheretter upholstery with sofa or cushion like design on it. The car also gets a split rear seat which can be reclined by upto 137 degrees. The rear seats can give you an airline lounger like feel when reclined.

The MG Windsor EV offers premium features like touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital intrument cluster, glass roof, electrically adjustable seats, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, 360 degree camera, multi-mode regen and so on.

The Windsor EV is powered by a 38 kWh Li-ion battery pack, which is IP67 certified. The battery pack powers an electric motor that is capable of generating 136Ps and 200Nm of peak torque. The electric CUV gets a certified driving range of 332 km as per ARAI. Price for a brand new MG Windsor EV starts at Rs 13.50 lakh, ex-showroom and goes all the way till Rs 15.50 lakh including the battery.
