Lamborghini has made the delivery of India’s very first Revuelto. The first car goes to its owner in Chennai, with the delivery done by the Lamborghini dealer in Bengaluru. The manufacturer was originally expected to commence the first deliveries in India in late 2023.

With a base price of Rs 8.89 crore, the Revuelto is the most expensive Lamborghini currently on sale in India. It also happens to be Lambo’s first hybrid supercar and a successor to the legendary Aventador. It was launched in India in December 2023 and was soon sold out till 2026- in both India and global markets! Also to note here is that Lamborghini India could only manage to secure a limited number of units for the domestic market. If demand booms, the next batch could be bigger- say rumours.

India’s first Revuelto gets an astounding spec. It wears a breathtaking Viola Bast paint on the outside. The cabin gets touches of bright Purple. Images of the car have now gone viral, gathering varied reactions. Many call it an ‘amazing’, ‘True Lambo’ spec, while some say it is but a ‘Pookie spec’. The point is that people love the spec on this car and only differ in their choice of discourse to describe it…

Lamborghini Revuelto:

The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s current flagship and a very special car for the brand in many ways. It is the spiritual successor of the Aventador, which was discontinued in 2022, marking the end of a very long production run. Revuelto is a mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar that can do 0-100 kph in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 350 kph.

The powertrain on this consists of a massive 6.5-litre, naturally-aspirated V12 (Good ol’ V12 aren’t dead after all!) paired with three electric motors. The engine (the lightest and most powerful on any Lamborghini till date) alone can produce 825 hp and 725 Nm, while the hybrid setup has a combined output of 1015 hp and 807 Nm. The electric motors draw their juice from a 3.8 kWh battery pack. Though of little practical significance on a car of this kind, the Revuelto is claimed to offer an all-electric range of around 10 km.

Recently, Lambo introduced a similar plug-in hybrid powertrain in the Urus SE as well. On the SUV, however, the hybrid tech has a 25.9 kWh battery pack and is paired with a 4.0L turbocharged V8 petrol engine. The cabin design, also seems to have taken inspiration from the Revuelto.

Coming back to the PHEV supercar, the design seems fresh and iconic. The body lines, panels and silhouette are all quite shouty. You will find the design to be edgy and aesthetic. The car comes with Y-shaped LED DRLs, tail lamps, high-mounted hexagonal exhausts, 20-inch front wheels and 21-inchers at the rear. It also gets the Italian marquee’s signature scissor doors for added drama.

The cabin gets a ‘Y’ theme to it and is packed with creature comforts and technology. The Revuelto has three large screens inside- an 8.4-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 9.1-inch passenger display. The buttons on the central console look like the ones you find in fighter jet.

In the Indian market, the key rival to the Revuelto is Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale. It is, however, less expensive than the Lambo, with ex-showroom prices tipping the scale at 7.5 Cr. The mid-engine plug-in hybrid sportscar from Ferrari has a 90° V8 turbo engine hybrid setup with an output of 986 hp and 800 Nm.
