Jeep Compass Track Edition Launched: Prices, Features, What Has Changed

Jeep has added a new special edition to the Compass range. Called the Compass Track Edition, it went on sale on 8 October 2025 and is based on the top-spec Model S trim. The focus is on appearance and cabin feel rather than mechanical changes.

Prices start at Rs 26,78,200 for the manual, Rs 28,64,200 for the automatic, and Rs 30,58,200 for the automatic with 4x4. These prices include a mandatory AXS pack of Rs 8,200. Availability is immediate, with bookings open at brand outlets across the country.

The headline change sits in the styling. The Track Edition gets a signature bonnet decal that gives the nose a tougher look at first glance. Jeep has finished the grille, badges and mouldings in Piano Black to tie the exterior together, and there is specific Track Edition badging so the variant is easily identifiable.

The wheels are 18 inch diamond cut alloys in a Tech Grey shade, which complement the darker trim. There are subtle Spruce Beige highlights around the exterior that you will spot when the light catches the angles. None of this alters the basic proportions or stance of the Compass. It simply layers a set of visual cues over the Model S to create a distinct flavour within the line up.

Inside, the brief is similar. The Track Edition swaps in Tupelo leatherette seats with Spruce Beige contrast stitching and embossed Jeep branding. The steering wheel is wrapped in Cortina leather, and the dash and centre stack use Dark Espresso Smoke Chrome accents to reduce visual clutter. Jeep has also added Piano Black inserts here, so the cabin theme mirrors the exterior.

You will find Tupelo vinyl touches on the trim and Track Edition floor mats underfoot. The aim is to create a cleaner, more uniform cabin with fewer shiny bits and a stronger colour story. If you prefer a lighter cabin with brighter metallics, the regular Model S may still appeal; if you want something more muted and cohesive, the Track Edition does that straight out of the box.

The core equipment remains what you expect at this price point. The 10.1 inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver gets a 10.25 inch digital TFT cluster that can be configured to show navigation, media and trip data. A panoramic sunroof is present, and the front seats offer ventilation with 8 way electric adjustment and memory.

The audio system is branded Alpine. Voice commands cover common tasks such as radio, media, phone, climate and navigation, which makes it easy to keep eyes on the road in traffic. None of these items are experimental add ons. They are part of the Compass’ established feature set, so buyers moving from a test drive to delivery should find a predictable experience.

Jeep has not altered the mechanical package for this edition. Power comes from the 2.0 litre MultiJet II turbo diesel rated at 170 hp and 350 Nm. You can pair it with a 6 speed manual or a 9 speed automatic. Front wheel drive is standard and the 4x4 system is offered with the automatic at the top of the price band.

If you want the visual upgrades with manual control, the base Track Edition manual fits the bill. If you want the full house with all wheel drive, the Track Edition AT 4x4 is the pick. On paper this makes the Track Edition a straight cosmetic and trim uplift rather than a dynamic rethink, which keeps the choice simple.

Safety coverage matches the rest of the range. The list includes four channel ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Advanced Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, all speed traction control, a rear seat reminder alert and Rain Brake Assist. The point of listing these out is not to claim superiority but to show breadth.

Between the electronic aids and the driver information suite, the Compass remains a modern package for daily use and longer runs. If you are cross shopping, check how the assist systems intervene and how early they cut in over broken surfaces. That kind of calibration affects confidence as much as the presence of the feature on the brochure.

There are five body colours to choose from across the Compass line up and they carry over here. Pearl White, Brilliant Black, Techno Metallic Green, Exotica Red and Grigio Magnesio Grey form the palette. Against these, the Track Edition’s darker exterior trim and the Spruce Beige touches create enough contrast to stand out without shouting. The visual package will likely appeal to those who find the regular chrome accents a bit bright, particularly under strong sun.

A practical note on the money side!

The price card clearly splits the manual, automatic and automatic 4x4, so buyers who prefer the looks but do not need the 4x4 hardware have a path to keep the outlay lower. The listed figures include the AXS pack, which avoids surprises at invoicing.

Keep in mind that the release describes the Track Edition as a limited run, though it does not state a number of units or a timeline. If you are set on this specific trim and colour combination, placing an early booking may be sensible to secure allocation.

Where does that leave the regular Model S?

Mechanically, they are the same. The decision is therefore about taste and perceived value. Some will prefer the Track Edition’s upholstery and the darker interior accents, which can help the cabin feel less busy at night.

Others may prefer the standard car’s brighter trim. It is worth seeing both in person, ideally on the same day and in the same light, then choosing the one your eyes settle on.

Either way, the Track Edition serves a clear purpose. It gives the Compass buyer another factory finish that looks thought through rather than pieced together in the aftermarket, which is the simple point of a special edition done with restraint.
