New Jeep Wrangler TVC Starring Hrithik Roshan Out
American car brand Jeep is known for its SUVs. They have been present in the Indian market since 2017 and currently offer several India-specific and international models. The most affordable SUV from Jeep in India is the Compass, and the flagship SUV is the Grand Cherokee. However, one model from Jeep that is popular around the world for its off-roading capabilities is the Wrangler. This model is also available in India, and Jeep has now decided to rope in Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan as the new brand ambassador. Jeep even launched a brand new Wrangler TVC featuring the actor.

The TVC, starring Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, was launched a few days ago and features him talking about the history of the brand. In this video, the actor discusses the story of the Jeep Wrangler SUV and calls it the one and only.
The Jeep Wrangler SUV is known for its extreme off-road capabilities, and it is because of these traits that the actor refers to the SUV as a legend. We see a Jeep Wrangler 5-door at the end of the video. The TVC comes just before the launch of the Mahindra Thar’s 5-door version.
We all know that Mahindra has had legal problems selling the Thar in international markets after FCA filed a case against them. According to FCA, Mahindra was copying Jeep’s design for their Thar and was selling it in other markets. Mahindra had to withdraw the Thar and make changes to the SUV in the US market too, where they sell the Roxor.
It looks like this new TVC hints at that as well. Many people who are buying the current generation Mahindra Thar often modify it to look like a Jeep. It is because of these reasons that we feel Jeep is calling the Wrangler “The One and Only” in the TVC. The Jeep Wrangler is no doubt a capable SUV, but in India, the Thar is selling in good numbers mainly because of the price difference.
If you compare the prices of the Mahindra Thar with the Wrangler, there is a huge difference. India is a price-sensitive market, and people often look for value-for-money products. When launched, the Thar was the most affordable 4×4 SUV one could buy in India. Jeep also tried to improve things by assembling the Wrangler to bring down the prices.
This strategy worked to some extent, but the Wrangler is still an expensive product for most Indian SUV buyers. The price for the Jeep Wrangler starts at Rs 67.65 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 71.65 lakh, ex-showroom.
Jeep offers premium features like a touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, premium leather upholstery, push-button start/stop, passive keyless entry, electronic stability control, hill start assist, select-speed control, electronic roll mitigation, tire pressure monitoring system, rearview camera, airbags, and so on. A ton of modification and customization options are available for this SUV.
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 268 Bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is available with an 8-speed automatic transmission only.
