John Abraham Visits Mahindra Studio To Get Thar ROXX Customized For Himself (Video)
It is official now- John Abraham is going to get a customised Mahindra Thar ROXX for himself, designed and curated by the team at MIDS (Mahindra India Design Studio) helmed by Pratap Bose. The carmaker recently put out a teaser hinting at what's to be expected. Now, Mahindra has shared a video on their official channel, showing more details of what they're planning with John Abraham
John Abraham's Customised Thar ROXX: The Design Journey Begins
It was previously expected that the actor's Thar ROXX would be finished in Black. But the latest video suggests otherwise. It starts by showing Mahindra design boss, Pratap Bose welcoming the actor to the MIDS. 'Everyone loves the Thar ROXX. But there is one superstar who loves it even more, and he'll be here soon'- says Bose on video, and enter John Abraham... This design project is likely called 'The SUV for the Star'.
The actor seems to have opted for the Battleship exterior colourway for his Thar ROXX. Pratap Bose has plans to tailor an extremely personalised version for the actor. He plans to include the logo/mascot of JA Entertainment (John Abraham Entertainment), the actor's production company based in Mumbai, at several spots on the ROXX.
The logo has the letters J and A written in a minimalist, yet striking way. The original logo has sharp edges and clean lines. Pratap Bose is seen tweaking this logo into something that's smoother to look at. The sharp edges are filed into more rounded ones. It resembles the controversial C-pillar kink of the SUV. The overall visual appeal is elevated. The actor seems to be impressed by the new design.
As suggested by the video, the new logo could be integrated into the front headrests of the SUV. The cabin, by the way, gets the Ivory colourway, and not the Mocha. It could even be embossed on the C-pilar. Towards the end of the video, Bose promises to make things ' a little more amazing' for John. This points to the possibility of more personalisations in the pipeline.
John Abraham's Love For The Thar ROXX
John has been an ardent admirer of the Thar ROXX, its charcter and the excellent engineering it packs. He is already known for his love for cars and motorcycles. The ROXX nmanaged to impress him so well that he complemented it so much at the first drive event.
Yes, John Abraham was present at the media drive event, to experience the Thar ROXX first-hand and indulge in the deeply insightful product presentation from Mahindra. He had back then said that he'd soon add one to his garage. But none of us expected it to be a customised version.
The actor is often spotted in his modified Isuzu DMax VCross truck. He uses it as his daily car. This shows his preference of rugged, utilitarian SUVs over expensive luxury cars. The Thar ROXX will be a more comfortable alternative to the VCross, and something that can seat five comfortably. Also, it is better equipped than the Isuzu in terms of features and technology.
John Abraham's Stint With The Electric Origin SUVs
Looks like this actor is now a fan of Mahindra as a brand. Soon after they were launched, John Abraham test drove the new BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs. he says that it was the BE 6 that managed to impress him the most. He thinks that it is the sportier and cooler of the two. Both the SUVs are, as he testifies, incredible and have everything to offer.
