Kia will be officially unveiling their all-new 7-seater MPV, the Carens Clavis, in the market tomorrow. Kia will be selling both the Carens and the Carens Clavis in the market at the same time, and there will be factors that differentiate these models from each other. Before the official launch or unveiling of the product, here are 10 such changes that we could figure out on the basis of the images that have surfaced online.

Front Fascia

The exterior design of the Carens Clavis is the first differentiating factor between the Carens and the Carens Clavis. While Kia is calling both these models RVs, the upcoming Carens Clavis has a much more muscular and SUV-like stance, which is desired by many buyers looking for a car in this segment.

Headlamps

Both the Carens and the Carens Clavis get a split headlamp setup, but the design is completely different on both. The Carens Clavis gets a triple ice cube design for the headlamps with multi-face reflector LED headlamps.

Tail Lamps

The tail lamps on the upcoming Carens Clavis look sleeker than those on the regular Carens. Both models have a reflector portion that runs across the width of the tailgate, but only the new Carens Clavis has connecting LED bars in it.

LED DRLs

One of the other changes in the Carens Clavis, when compared to the Carens, is the LED DRL design. The Clavis gets L-shaped dual-function LED DRLs, which also double up as turn indicators.

Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof

While the existing Kia Carens comes with a single-pane sunroof, the upcoming Carens Clavis gets a large dual pane panoramic sunroof, which is highly sought after among customers in this segment.

Alloy Wheel Design

The Kia Carens comes with 16-inch alloy wheels in the top-end variant. However, the new Carens Clavis gets 17-inch units with crystal-cut dual-tone alloy wheels. The design of the wheels on both these RVs is different from each other.

Level 2 ADAS

This is one feature that the Carens is missing when compared to rivals like the Alcazar and MG Hector. The Carens Clavis gets Level 2 ADAS, which means it comes with 20 autonomous features, including forward collision warning and avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and many more.

Syros-like Double D-Cut Steering

The steering wheel on the Carens is similar to what we used to get in the pre-facelift Seltos and Sonet, but the Carens Clavis will feature a different steering unit. It will get a steering wheel similar to the one seen in the recently launched Syros. Kia calls it the double D-cut steering wheel.

Infotainment/Climate Switchable Controller

Another new addition to the Carens Clavis is the controller on the dashboard, using which the driver or occupant can easily switch between the infotainment and temperature controls in the car. This is actually a feature already seen in many high-end Kia models and has now made its way to the Kia Syros and the upcoming Kia Carens Clavis as well.

Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the Kia Carens and the Clavis remain more or less the same. The upcoming Clavis is only slightly longer than the Carens. The Kia Carens is 4540 mm long, while the Clavis is 4550 mm. The wheelbase on both these RVs remains the same.
