Kia Syros (Clavis) Compact SUV’s Interiors Spied

Kia’s upcoming SUV, which will sit between the Seltos and Sonet, has once again been spotted testing on our roads. The upcoming SUV from Kia was expected to be called Clavis. However, Kia has now filed a patent in India, and the upcoming SUV is expected to be called Syros. The new spy shots give us a glimpse of the interior of the upcoming SUV.
The latest spy pictures have been shared by Cars24 on their Instagram page. In these images, we see the exterior and interior of the Syros. Kia Syros will come with a new flat-bottom steering wheel. The design of the steering wheel is new, and we have not seen it on any other Kia model sold in India.
Kia will also offer twin 10.25-inch screens in the cabin. One of them will be the instrument cluster, while the other will be the touchscreen infotainment system. We are expecting the same UI as seen in the Seltos.
Other than this, we expect the Syros to come with features like ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, auto-dimming IRVMs, automatic climate control, Bose audio system, and so on. It needs to be seen if Kia will offer Level 1 ADAS features with the Syros, just like we saw in the Sonet.
We already know from previous spy shots that the Kia Syros will be offered with a panoramic sunroof. The exterior design of the Syros is going to be different from other SUVs in the segment. We are expecting a very boxy-looking design, which will give the car a very practical look. This doesn’t mean Kia will offer the Syros a very sober-looking front fascia.
We are expecting the signature tiger-nose grille, vertically stacked headlamps with 7-shaped dual-function LED DRLs. The SUV will be positioned between the Seltos and the sub-4-meter SUV Sonet. It looks like the Kia Syros will compete with rivals like the Tata Curvv SUV. As per reports, Kia will be offering both ICE and EV versions of the Syros in the market.
The ICE version of the Kia Syros will be offered with a petrol engine. It is likely to be offered with a 1.2-liter NA petrol and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. There is no clarity on whether Kia will be offering a diesel engine option with the Syros or not. Kia does offer both petrol and diesel engine options with all its offerings in the Indian market.
The electric version of the Syros is expected to be launched 6 months after the launch of the ICE variant. Both ICE and EV versions of the Syros will be based on the same platform. There is also a possibility that Kia might introduce a hybrid variant of the SUV in the market at a later stage.
Kia Clavis or Syros SUV is expected to be launched in the market by the end of 2024. The SUV will go on sale early next year. The electric version of the Clavis or Syros will be launched by mid-2025. Kia is expected to price the upcoming SUV competitively, offering a good blend of features at an affordable price.
