Kia India has unveiled the newest product for India- Syros. This SUV will sit above the Sonet and below the Seltos in the manufacturer’s Indian portfolio. We drove the top-spec Syros in Gurugram and below is our first-drive review. Now, we have information on the available variants and what each of them packs. Let’s take a closer look at the same.

The Syros would come in six trims: HTK, HTK (O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, and HTX Plus (O). We expect the prices to fall in the range of 10-15 lakh, ex-showroom. Both petrol and diesel powertrains will be on offer, along with manual and automatic transmissions.

Syros HTK

This is the base-spec variant. It, however, comes with decent kit levels. The cabin gets a dual-tone Grey and Black colourway and comes with semi-leatherette upholstery that follows the same colour scheme. The features offered include a 12.30-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless phone connectivity, a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, power-adjustable mirrors and windows, rear AC vents, door curtains and four Type-C USB charging ports.

This variant gets 15-inch steel rims with Black wheel covers. Instead of LEDs, the headlamps are halogen units. You get shark fin antenna and silver skid plates at the front and rear. The petrol- manual is the only powertrain offered on the entry-spec variant of Syros.

Syros HTK (O)

This variant offers the choice of both petrol and diesel powertrains. However, these come mated to just manual transmissions. The HTK (O) also sees the addition of a few features. It gets a single pane sunroof, rear window shades, height-adjustable driver-side seat, auto-folding power-adjustable mirrors and passenger-side seat back pocket. The Syros HTK (O) rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Syros HTK Plus

When it comes to the HTK Plus variant, you get a panoramic sunroof instead of the single-pane unit of the lower variant. This variant gets a blue and grey dual-tone upholstery and a split folding rear seat with recline function. The automatic gearbox makes its entry on the HTK Plus variant. Both petrol and diesel engines are available. Out of these, it is just the petrol that gets the automatic transmission option. Other features offered on this variant are a push start/stop button, follow me home function for the headlamps, drive modes, and an electric parking brake.

Syros HTX

The HTX trim has features like full LED lighting. The cabin here sees generous use of leather. The steering wheel and gear shifter are leather-wrapped. The feature list includes ventilated front seats, one-touch up and down functionality for all windows, rear wiper. The automatic variants get paddle shifters as well.

Syros HTX Plus

The HTK Plus variant gets 17 inch alloy wheels, puddle lamps, aluminium pedals, 64-shade ambient lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, climate control, Harman Kardon sound system, air purifier and a dashcam. Additionally, it gets ventilated rear seats, an automatic iRVM, and a wireless phone charger. The cabin here gets a dual-tone grey and orange colourway.

This is the first variant to get rear-wheel disc brakes as well. It is only available with automatic transmissions. The petrol gets a 7-speed DCT while the diesel comes with a 6AT.

Syros HTX Plus (O)

This is the top-spec variant. It comes loaded with features and has a lot over the HTX Plus. This is the only variant that gets level 2 ADAS and 360-degree surround view camera. Also, it is available with just automatic gearboxes, and no manuals.
