Kia Carens Clavis MPV New TVC Released [Video]
The South Korean automotive giant Kia has finally unveiled the much-awaited Carens Clavis in India. This new and more premium version of the Carens MPV will sit alongside the standard Clavis. Now, in order to promote this newly unveiled MPV, Kia India has released a new television commercial. In this TVC, the Carens Clavis is shown in great detail from the outside as well as the inside. Kia is currently taking reservations for this MPV with a booking amount of Rs 25,000.
Kia Carens Clavis: New TVC released
This new TVC of the Carens Clavis has been shared on YouTube by Kia India on their official channel. It starts off with the bird's-eye view shot of the Carens Clavis, which is shown driving on a curvy mountain road. It then shows the exterior design of the vehicle. Like the new EV6, the new Carens Clavis also boasts a blanked-off grille and new triangular-shaped LED headlights and L-shaped LED DRLs.
It also gets a freshly designed front bumper, which gets a silver skid plate. The TVC then shows the rear of the Carens Clavis’ new Star Map connected LED taillights and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, we can also note the new rear bumper, which gives it a more aggressive appearance. Moving on, the TVC also shows the new dual-pane panoramic sunroof and the ADAS features of this car.
The new Carens Clavis comes with ADAS Level 2, which includes features such as lane keep assist, collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and many others. Following this, the video then shows the interior of the new Carens Clavis. This premium version of the Carens MPV gets a host of new features. Of these, the main highlight is the addition of a massive 26.6-inch panoramic display panel.
This panel consists of a touchscreen infotainment system and an all-new digital instrument gauge cluster. Apart from these, the Clavis also gets a 4-way powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker premium audio system by BOSE, dual-zone climate control, and multilingual VR commands.
It also gets keyless entry, push-button start, and an air purifier, which also provides the AQI information. As for the safety, the Clavis also offers six airbags, ESC, parking sensors at both ends, TPMS, and a 360-degree camera. As for the overall color scheme of the interior, the new Carens gets a beige and dark navy blue-colored interior, which looks very premium and classy.
Powertrain options
Kia is offering the new Carens Clavis with the same engine options as the standard model. These options include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, which makes 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol with 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque. Lastly, there is a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel that makes 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT.
Currently, the company has not released the pricing details of the Carens Clavis. However, it is expected to be priced with a premium over the pricing of the standard Carens, which starts at Rs 10.60 and goes up to Rs 19.70 lakh. The Carens Clavis in India takes on rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Maruti XL6, Toyota Rumion, and Toyota Innova Crysta. Also, although it does not compete directly with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Invicto, it is an affordable alternative to both.
