The main highlight of the Urus SE is its power train. The Super SUV combines two hearts: a 4 litre twin turbo V8 engine and a 800 CV hybrid power train. The engine has been reworked to function fluently with the new hybrid power train and deliver an effortless, smooth and power packed driving experience.

The beast of an engine alone delivers 632 PS of power and 800 Nm of torque while the electric motor delivers 192 PS of power and 483 Nm of torque. The combined output delivered by this system peaks at 800 PS of power and 950 Nm of torque.

The electric motor draws power from a 25.9 kWh battery which is placed below the load floor and above the rear differential which is electrically controlled. Further enhancing the performance of Urus SE is the reduced weight to power ratio which has dropped down to 3.13 kg/CV as compared to the 3.3 kg/CV of the Urus S.

The electric motor in the Urus SE serves two purposes: act as a boost for the 4 liter V8 engine and secondly, allows the car to be driven up to 60 kilometers reaching speeds of 130 km/h purely on electricity.

The Urus SE can touch the 100 km/h mark in just 3.4 seconds and the 200 km/h mark in just 11.2 seconds. This makes the Urus SE faster by 0.1 seconds and 1.3 seconds as compared to the Urus S in touching the 100 km/h and 200 km/h marks respectively. Even the top speed has increased to 312 km/h from 305 km/h in the Urus S. With these figures, the Urus SE is the fastest production car in its segment.

Along with the performance upgrades, the design of the Sport SUV has seen a significant update. The front profile gets a new hood with floating design which features no sharp lines. Other update includes new headlights with matrix LED technology and a redesigned bumper and front grill.

Changes in the rear include a redesigned cargo compartment hatch, a new diffuser and redesigned taillights with Y shaped LEDs. The new diffuser has resulted in an increase in the downforce by 35% as compared to the Urus S.

Now, let’s talk about the interiors. The Urus SE gets the Lamborghini signature feel like a pilot design language. The Sport SUV now gets a larger 12.3 inch infotainment system with updated graphics, redesigned AC vents, 12.3 inch instrument cluster, anodized aluminum trim elements and a new panel, seat and dashboard covering.

The Urus SE now gets 11 driving modes which include 6 regular driving modes and four electric performance modes. The regular Strada, Sport and Corsa modes can be used for the road and track while the Neve, Sabbia and the Terra are terrain modes.

The newly added drive modes include EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance and Recharge, each with their own unique experience. The height of the vehicle changes according to the drive mode, thanks to the air suspension on offer.
