Mahindra Automotive is building solid hype for its upcoming born-electric SUVs—the BE 6E and XEV 9E. Both of these EVs will be officially unveiled at the Mahindra Unlimit Event on November 26th. However, the company is now sharing a number of teasers and sketches of these two SUVs. Most recently, design sketches showing the exterior and interior design of the BE 6E and XEV 9E have been shared online.

The sketches showing the Mahindra BE 6E and XEV 9E have been shared on X by the Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs official page. All of these images provide us with a detailed look at the unique exterior and interior designs of these all-electric SUVs, based on the brand’s in-house-developed INGLO electric platform.

Mahindra BE 6E: Official Sketches

Showing off the extremely unique and edgy exterior design, Mahindra has shared the front three-quarter sketch of the BE 6E EV SUV. It can be noted that at the front, there is a very sharp and aggressive front fascia. It is like no other Mahindra SUV that we have seen so far.

The BE 6E features C-shaped LED DRLs, and the LED headlights can be seen sunken inside. Also, in place of the traditional closed-off grille that is seen on EVs, there is a hollow opening. This air dam opens up into the bonnet, giving it a very unique aerodynamic appearance.

There is also a 6E badging at the front, and apart from this, the SUV gets a very sharp front bumper as well. There are numerous cuts and creases on the SUV’s front end, which give it a very distinct appearance.

Moving on to the side profile, the athletic silhouette of the BE 6E is also special to this SUV. There are chunky claddings on the wheel arches and on the doors. Additionally, there are flush-type door handles, and these sketches do not have rear door handles.

Most likely, the production version will get the same flush-type handles in the rear as well. Apart from these, there will also be massive aero blade-style alloy wheels. The company has not shown the rear end of this SUV in the sketch. However, teasers have shown that it will come equipped with connected LED taillights.

BE 6E: Interior Design

The company has also released a sketch of the interior of this electric SUV. It can be noted that it will get a proper cockpit-like setup where everything is accessible to the driver. This suggests that this SUV will be for drivers who love sporty SUVs.

Other unique details to be noted from this sketch are that there will be a massive connected touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument gauge cluster panel. Additionally, the SUV will also get an airplane-like gear lever and unique door handles. Apart from this, previous teasers have shown that there will also be a glass roof.

Mahindra XEV 9E: Design Sketches

Now coming to the other design sketch, the company has also revealed the exterior and interior design of the XEV 9E electric SUV. This SUV will sit above the BE 6E, and it will differentiate itself with its sloping roofline.

The XEV 9E coupe SUV will be a much bolder and larger SUV. At the front, it will get a connected LED DRL with extensions on the side. There will also be a closed-off grille with horizontal lines for added complexity. Additionally, the sketch also shows the SUV featuring a newer illuminated Mahindra twin peaks logo.

Apart from this, the interior of this SUV will be more focused on comfort and will get large leather-upholstered seats with all the powered functionalities. It will also get a three-screen setup, which will also be seen on the XUV.e8, the electric version of the XUV700. A fixed glass roof and a center console with an armrest can also be noted in the sketch.

Mahindra INGLO Platform

The company recently also released a new video in which a number of important details about the in-house-developed INGLO electric platform have been shared. The company has revealed that it will be a flat skateboard architecture, which will help in offering the SUV a low center of gravity and increase its stability.

Also, the company has revealed that this platform can accommodate 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. As for the power, there will be an integrated motor, which will have the electric motor, inverter, and transmission in one unit. Power will range from 228–282 bhp.
