Mahindra BE6 Base Trim: What’s On Offer For 18.9 Lakh
The newly launched Mahindra BE 6 has shaken the entire Indian automotive landscape. Not only has this vehicle become popular among EV enthusiasts, but it has also managed to win the hearts of traditional car lovers as well. The company has announced that the base variant of the BE 6, which is the Pack 1, will start at Rs 18.9 lakh. Mahindra BE 6 Pack 1: What’s on offer?
Exterior Design
First off, on the outside, the Mahindra BE 6 will get an extremely sharp and edgy design. At the front, it will get C-shaped LED DRLs, almost hidden LED projector headlights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. These alloy wheels will be fitted with aero blade-style wheel covers, which will add an additional sporty appearance.
The top-spec Pack 3 variant will come with bigger 19-inch alloy wheels. Apart from this, the SUV will get the same sharp body lines, flush-type door handles, double bubble roof spoiler, chunky side claddings finished in gloss black, and a sloping roofline.
Interior Design
The overall layout of the interior of the BE 6 Pack 1 will be the same as the top-spec Pack 3 variant. However, it will miss out on a number of exclusive features. As for what will be on offer, the Pack 1 will come equipped with the same fighter jet-inspired cockpit with dual 12.3-inch floating screens featuring MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture) software.
Apart from these, it will also get the same new two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated ‘BE’ logo. Mahindra will also be offering the Pack 1 variant with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 4-speaker sound system, Alexa voice commands, fast 5G connectivity, an automatic AC unit, and rear AC vents.
Other features will include a wireless charging pad, an aircraft-like drive mode selector, multiple drive modes, cabin pre-cooling and scheduled charging, a cooled glovebox, a fast USB-C port at the front and rear, and tilt & telescopic steering.
Additionally, it will also get keyless entry with push-button start and stop, a height-adjustable driver seat, an HD rear camera, a driver doze-off alert, an electronic parking brake, and a tyre pressure monitoring system as well.
Mahindra BE 6 Pack 1: Drivetrain and Pricing
As for the drivetrain of the base Pack 1 of the Mahindra BE 6, this electric SUV will be offered with a single electric motor and battery pack option. It will come equipped with a 228 bhp and 380 Nm torque-producing electric motor.
There will only be the 59 kWh LFP blade cell battery pack offering a range of 535 km on a single full charge. Pricing-wise, the company has announced that the base BE 6 Pack 1 will be priced at Rs 18.9 lakh. It will compete with the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki eVitara, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Harrier EV, Tata Curvv EV, and its own sibling, the XUV 3OO EV.
What does the Pack 1 miss out on?
As mentioned, the Pack 1 variant will miss out on the 19-inch alloy wheels. It will also not get the 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, Mahindra VisionX augmented reality head-up display, dual-zone climate control, infinity glass roof with ambient lighting, powered driver’s seat with memory function, auto park assist, and many other features.
