The BE 6 and XEV 9e- or the Electric Origin SUVs as Mahindra fondly calls them, are both very important products for the manufacturer. The Indian automotive giant has been devising innovative ways to market these products and take them to larger audiences. The BE 6 in particular, stands extra special, as it has been designed ground up as a completely futuristic electric SUV with a radical design and a ton of features. It is also the first product to come from the BE sub-brand. Now, Mahindra has announced an exciting strategic partnership with Krafton, which would make the BE 6 available in the famous Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) game (formerly known as PUBG)! Players will be able to drive the BE 6 in-game from Janary 16, 2025.

BGMI players will be able to drive the BE 6 and use it to complete various missions and tasks in the game. Players will be able to use it as their team vehicle to commute between various places, conduct attacks, loots and complete missions. In short, players can interact with the vehicle virtually.

Placing the BE 6 in BGMI’s virtual environment would attract the attention of many, and can thus be seen as a smart marketing tactic by the brand. But more importantly, BGMI is India’s largest and most played Battle Royale game and the gaming community in India is growing rapidly. Thus having a presence in it can be as effective as showing up at the doorstep of each player with a brochure! It would definitely help in boosting sales of the SUV.

In addition to the virtual BE 6, Krafton India has also added themed items, missions, Mahindra event crates and more. A host of exclusive in-game items can also be unlocked, like Quantum and Chrono Charge suits, Volt Tracer Gun, Neon Drop BE6 Parachute, Flashvault BE6 Backpack, SparkStrike Pan etc. In fact, there is even a contest which would allow the players to win the actual BE 6 SUV.

Many would know PUBG, but raise their brows when they hear BGMI. There is a lot to talk about the history of this game. Its predecessor PUBG (Player Unknown’s Battle Grounds), played a key role in kickstarting the e-sports scene in India. The battle royale game had millions of daily active users. Several PUBG tournaments and events were organised in many parts of the country in the past. There were even professional PUBG teams.

The game continued to soar in popularity till when it was banned in 2020, along with 117 other Chinese apps, over concerns of potential data leaks. The PUBG servers back then, were situated in China and tensions were brewing between India and China. This forced the government to ban the application.

However, in 2022, the game made a glorious return, now rebranding itself into BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and soon took back its crown as the most popular shooting game in the country. It soon rose to popularity. BGMI today, is tailor-made for Indian gamers and keeps most features of PUBG intact.

In-Game Brand Of Cars And SUVs: More About It

BMW debuted its M2 Competition in CSR Racing 2 and various other models have been part of Fortnite and Rocket League as well. Audi has been part of Gran Turismo. And now, we have Mahindra enter the world of esports as well…
