Mahindra launched their BE6 and XUV 9E electric vehicles in the Indian market this year. When they showcased the concept of the BE6, Mahindra had also shown us a rugged-looking concept of the electric SUV. They called it Rall-E. After the launch of the BE6, Mahindra started working on this version of the SUV, and the same has been spotted testing as well. The almost production-ready version of the BE6 was recently spotted testing in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

The images of the Mahindra BE6 Rall-E have been shared by 91Wheels on their website. The first iteration of this rugged-looking EV was seen in 2023, and the test mule looks very similar to the concept. Initially, Mahindra had said that they didn’t have plans to launch the production version of this EV in the market, but it looks like with rising competition, they have changed their mind.

Just like the previous test mule image that was featured on our website, the latest one also gets steel rims with a camouflaged cover on top of them. We also see thick-profile tyres which add character to the vehicle.

The car is fully camouflaged, and it looks like Mahindra will make necessary changes to the exterior of the car to give it a distinct identity from that of the regular BE6. The claddings around the wheels and the car are likely to be finished in rough black plastic instead of gloss, and we are also expecting them to be slightly thicker than the regular version.

Coming to the top, we see a roof rack which adds to the character of the car. Mahindra is also likely to make changes to the front fascia of the Rall-E version of the BE6. The concept had sleek DRLs paired with a large round headlamp on the bumper. The rear bumper of the SUV would also be redesigned to go with the overall nature of the vehicle.

Apart from the exterior changes, we expect minor tweaks in the cabin too. Mahindra might make changes to make the cabin look a bit more rugged than premium.

The Rall-E version of the BE6 is designed as an off-road spec vehicle, and we expect it to come with a dual-motor or AWD setup. In addition to AWD, electronic aids such as Hill Descent Control, MLD, and BLD are expected to enhance overall performance.

The Mahindra BE6 Rall-E is based on the same platform as the regular electric SUV. It uses the INGLO platform, which is specifically designed for EVs. Coming to the range and battery pack options, we expect Mahindra to offer the same choices as the BE6. The BE6 is available with two battery pack options 59 kWh and 79 kWh.

The smaller battery pack offers a claimed driving range of 535 km, while the larger one provides up to 682 km. We expect to see an almost production-ready version of the Mahindra BE6 Rall-E during the event that Mahindra will be organizing in August this year.
