Mahindra XEV 9e And BE 6 'Mass Delivery': Chennai Dealer Delivers Over 10 Electric SUVs On Same Day [Video]
Mahindra launched its all-new electric SUVs, the BE6 and XEV 9E, in the market last year. Bookings for the EVs started in February this year, and deliveries have now officially begun. We have started seeing several videos of customers taking delivery of their electric SUVs. Mahindra dealerships often conduct mass delivery events whenever they launch a new product. This time around, things were not too different. A dealer from Chennai has now delivered 10 Mahindra electric vehicles to customers at an event.
The video has been shared by Darshan's YouTube channel. It was recorded by someone present at the event, though we are not sure if it was a customer or dealership staff. In this video, we see Mahindra XEVs and BE6 electric SUVs lined up outside the dealership in Chennai. The exact name of the dealership is not clear in the video; however, we can confirm that the event took place in Chennai. The dealership delivered 10 EVs in a single day and decided to make it a special occasion for both the customers and the dealership.
We see percussion instrument artists performing outside the dealership. The video only includes the part where customers finally start driving their cars away. We see Mahindra XEV 9Es and BE6 electric SUVs moving out of the dealership one after another. The customers look happy, and staff members are seen guiding them to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Mahindra has started deliveries with the top-end Pack Three variant first, while the lower variants will be delivered in the coming months.
Mahindra BE6
The smaller SUV among the two was initially known as the BE 6E when launched. It is priced at an attractive ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV is available in three variants and comes packed with premium features. It offers an illuminated BE logo on the steering wheel, twin floating screens on the dashboard, sleek AC vents, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, crash-resistant battery technology, seven airbags, and more. It also features an infinity glass roof with dynamic LED lights.
The BE6 is available with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The smaller battery version generates 228 BHP and 380 Nm of peak torque, while the larger battery version generates 282 BHP and 380 Nm of peak torque. The smaller battery pack offers a claimed driving range of 535 km, while the larger one provides up to 682 km.
XEV 9E
The XEV 9E is the larger SUV with a coupe-like design. It has been launched at a starting price of ₹21.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra offers three large 12.30-inch screens on the dashboard, which it calls the “Cinemascope Cockpit.” It also comes with optional rear-seat entertainment screens. Other features include a VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more.
It uses the same 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs as the BE6. The 59 kWh version generates 228 BHP and 380 Nm of peak torque, while the 79 kWh version generates 282 BHP and 380 Nm of peak torque. Both these SUVs are currently offered in RWD configurations, with a dual-motor AWD setup likely to be introduced at a later stage.
