Mahindra launched its much-awaited electric SUVs, the BE6 and XUV 9E, in the Indian market last year. Bookings for both these SUVs started last month, and deliveries were scheduled to happen by mid-March. It looks like Mahindra is not running behind on its timelines, as it has officially started delivering the electric SUVs to customers. Here, we have a video where a family is seen taking delivery of their brand-new Mahindra XUV 9E electric SUV.

The video has been shared by Ved Prakash on YouTube. This short video shows a family taking delivery of a new XUV 9E EV. The exact location is not known, but by looking at the caption in the video, it seems to be the first delivery in Rajasthan.

The owner, along with his family, is seen standing next to the new EV. The SUV is covered with a black cloth, and when given the cue, the staff unveils the car to the customer. The owner has opted for the signature red shade of the XUV 9E. Mahindra had mentioned that they would be delivering the top-end Pack Three 79 kWh versions first and would later move to the lower variants.

This means the electric SUV seen in the video is the top-end Pack Three variant. This is currently Mahindra’s most expensive electric SUV on sale in India. Mahindra has been working on a range of electric vehicles, most of which are SUVs.

The XUV 9E features a muscular yet premium-looking design at the front. In fact, Mahindra has managed to carry forward most of the design elements first seen in the concept. It looks futuristic and powerful at the same time. It is an all-new SUV developed from scratch.

It is based on Mahindra’s all-new platform, specifically developed for EVs. The front fascia features drop-down LED DRLs with a connecting LED bar.

Like most modern Mahindra vehicles, the XUV 9E is also a feature-loaded SUV. It gets premium features like three large 12.30-inch screens on the dashboard, which Mahindra calls the “Cinemascope Cockpit.” Additionally, Mahindra provides two screens for rear-seat passengers to ensure they don’t miss out on entertainment.

Other features include VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. The SUV also comes with seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more. Other notable features include leatherette upholstery with seat ventilation, electrically adjustable seats, an infinity glass roof with dynamic lights, and multi-zone climate control.

The electric SUV is available with two battery pack options. The lower versions get a 59 kWh battery pack, while the higher versions get a 79 kWh battery. The smaller battery version generates 228 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, offering a claimed range of 542 km. The bigger 79 kWh variant generates 282 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, with a claimed range of 656 km.

The price for a brand-new Mahindra XUV 9E starts at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
