5 Mahindra SUVs Lined Up For 2025 Launch

Mahindra currently has a strong foothold in the Indian market. It is in fact, the second largest carmaker in the country and posted an impressive Year-on-Year (YoY) growth. Mahindra aims to grow its market share further by launching a line of products in the ICE ( Internal Combustion Engine) and EV segments. As many as 23 new models are to be expected by 2030. These will include ICE, EV and hybrid models. Five of these could launch this year.
To start with, the carmaker will add more variants to the recently launched XEV 9e. As many as six new variants are to be expected. Currently, the XEV comes in four variants- Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three. The new variants could make the vehicle more affordable and give buyers more options to choose from.
Currently, two battery packs are offered- 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The vehicle gets a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) setup, although the INGLO platform that underpins it can accommodate a dual-motor-based All Wheel Drive (AWD) as well.
Though the carmaker hasn't revealed anything around the new variants, their market entry could happen in the coming weeks.
Just like the XEV 9e, the BE6 will also get new variants in the coming months. At present, five BE6 variants are on sale- Pack ONE, Pack ONE Above, Pack TWO, Pack THREE Select, and Pack THREE. With the new variants joining the clan, customers will have more options to choose from. Details of the upcoming launches are yet to emerge.
Mahindra is known to be working on an electric SUV based on the outgoing XUV 3XO. It will borrow its key design cues from the ICE counterpart. However, the vehicle will also have EV-specific details like a closed-off grille, a larger central air intake, and aero-optimized alloy wheels.
If reports are to be believed, the 3XO EV will likely come with a 35kWh battery pack. The electric SUV will have a single-motor setup. Mahindra has been tight-lipped about the EV's specifications.
The 3XO has been a silent success for Mahindra. Launching an EV based on it, with an interesting powertrain, decent range figures and a competitive price tag could indeed be clever.
Mahindra has already sent out invites for a product reveal on the 15th of August, 2025. This is reportedly for the new-generation Bolero, which would be based on an all-new platform. For the first time, the Bolero Neo will be underpinned by a monocoque chassis. The new architecture will be critical in optimising it for the upcoming safety and emission regulations.
Spy shots of the SUV being tested have already surfaced. Going by these, the vehicle will have an all-new design. It will be larger than the outgoing model and will look more upmarket. A new body shell, chunky wheel arches, reworked doors, and flush door handles are to be expected. The cabin will feature major restyling and the vehicle will come with more features.
Reports say that the new Bolero could feature the familiar 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel engine that makes 100 hp. The ride quality and occupant comfort could improve on the new model.
Another major EV launch from the manufacturer will be the XUV 700 EV which could be named the XEV 7e. The vehicle is currently nearing its production form.
The XEV 7e will borrow a lot of its design cues from the outgoing XEV 9e. It could come with a triangular LED headlamp setup, closed-off grille, and 9e-like front bumper. Copper trims can be spotted at various places of this design.
The cabin of the XEV 7e will stand close to that of the 9e on design grounds. The triple-screen cluster will be part of the package, as confirmed by spy images. The 7e is likely to borrow the feature list of the 9e.
It will be based on the same INGLO platform as the 9e, and will likely come with the same battery pack choices- 59 kWh and 79 kWh. We will get to know more of these details closer to the launch.
