Mahindra Automotive, which is currently the largest SUV manufacturer in India, recently launched the new Scorpio-N Carbon Edition in the country. This new edition is essentially a dark edition of the popular Scorpio-N SUV. It has been launched to boost the sales of this already super popular SUV. Recently, the company has been dispatching the new Scorpio-N Carbon Edition to its dealerships across the country, and now a video of its detailed walkaround has been shared online.

This video walkaround of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Carbon Edition has been shared on YouTube by MRD Cars on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the Scorpio-N Carbon Edition. He highlights that this particular edition is based on the top-of-the-line Z8 and Z8L variants. Also, the new Carbon Edition is only available with the seven-seater version of the Scorpio-N.

Following this, the vlogger then mentions the pricing of the Carbon Edition model. He highlights that the Mahindra Scorpio-N starts at Rs 19 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 24 lakh. It is being offered with both manual and automatic transmission options. He also adds that it comes with both 4X2 and 4X4 configurations.

What Has Changed?

Exterior

After giving the introduction of the Carbon Edition, the vlogger starts showing the exterior design changes of this particular limited edition. He first shows the front end of this SUV and states that instead of the shiny chrome, the company has added black chrome to the front grille, headlights, and other chrome parts present on the vehicle.

He also highlights the LED DRLs, which are set on either side of the bumper. Apart from this, the front silver skid plate now gets a dark grey color instead of silver. Moving on, the vlogger then shows the side profile of the Scorpio-N Carbon Edition.

It gets the same 18-inch directional alloy wheels; however, for the Carbon Edition, the company has painted these alloy wheels in black. Apart from these, even the bolts for the wheels have also been finished in black. Other changes on the side profile include a blacked-out Scorpion tail chrome garnish that surrounds the windows and the roof rails.

Apart from these, the brake calipers are finished in silver. Moving to the rear, the vlogger highlights that the LED taillights have been smoked out, and like the front and side, all the chrome has been dechromed. This includes the chrome on the door handles and the rear bumper. The rest of the exterior design and elements are the same as the standard model.

Interior

Following the exterior walkaround, the vlogger then shows the interior of this SUV. He starts by stating that the entire interior is finished in black. The standard model is offered with dual-tone shades of black and mocha brown. This particular Carbon Edition model gets a black roof liner, black leatherette seat upholstery, and black door cards.

Apart from these, the vlogger mentions that the chrome on the interior of the car, including the door handles, surrounds around the infotainment system, and AC vents, has also been replaced with black chrome. As for the features, the SUV gets the same set of features as the standard model. These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument gauge cluster.

It also gets a 12-speaker Sony premium sound system with tweeters and a subwoofer and a single-pane electric sunroof. It also gets a wireless phone charger, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and automatic headlights and wipers. In terms of safety features, the Scorpio-N comes with six airbags, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera, hill hold, driver drowsiness detection, and others.

Engine Options

The Scorpio-N Carbon Edition comes with both diesel and petrol engine options. The 2.2-litre diesel engine makes 175 PS of power and 370 Nm (manual) and 380 Nm (automatic) of torque. It also gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is capable of producing 203 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. With the 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox, it makes 380 Nm.
