Mahindra Automotive recently launched its newest platform called the NU_IQ. This modular platform will serve as the base for a number of upcoming Mahindra SUVs. Of these multiple vehicles, the two concepts that were shown on the 79th Independence Day were the Vision.S and Vision.X concepts. The company has now released the AI-generated videos of these two concept vehicles, showing how they will look in real-world scenarios.

Mahindra Vision.S and Vision.X teasers

Vision.S

First off, let's start with the video of the Mahindra Vision.S SUV. It has been shared on YouTube by Mahindra Automobile’s official channel. This short teaser video starts with the front of the Vision.S in blackout. After this, the two inverted L-shaped LED DRLs of this SUV light up, as do the nine individual LED DRLs on the front grille.

Following this, a person can be seen preparing his morning coffee and then driving out the Mahindra Vision.S across the city, after which this SUV is taken to the outskirts. The Vision.S, in terms of design, offers a boxy styling that looks very similar to the Land Rover Defender. It also gets quad-LED fog lights, a silver skid plate, and a black front bumper.

On the sides, the SUV continues the body appearance with straight body lines and a Defender-style side box in the rear quarter window. The Vision.S also gets a set of large diamond-cut alloy wheels. Other notable highlights of the side include a step on the left side and flush-type door handles. As for the rear, it gets a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a black rear bumper, and LED taillights.

After showing the Vision.S from the exterior, the video shows the interior design of this SUV. It can be noted that it has a very modern and futuristic dashboard with a number of physical buttons. It also gets unique trapezoidal AC vents, twin-connected screens, toggle switches, automatic climate control buttons, and a unique steering wheel.

Vision.X

Mahindra Automotive has also shared a teaser video showing the Vision.X sub-compact SUV. This particular concept vehicle, when it comes into production, will replace the Mahindra XUV 3XO. The video shows that the Vision.X has taken its inspiration from a fighter jet.

At the front, the Vision.X gets a very sharp-looking front fascia with a split headlight set-up. The upper portion gets LED DRLs, and the main headlights are set in the middle of the bumper on either side. The front grille is also very unique and has multiple slots on the lower portion of the front bumper.

As for the side profile, the Vision.X gets large directional alloy wheels and chunky squared-off side claddings. The concept vehicle does not get ORVMs and instead gets cameras. However, the production version will most likely get a traditional set of ORVMs. It also gets flush-type door handles. The rear looks as aggressive as the front and gets connected LED taillights and a sharp rear bumper with a silver skid plate.

As mentioned, both of these vehicles will be based on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ modular platform. This platform will be able to accommodate different powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric. It is believed that the first vehicle based on the NU_IQ platform will be launched around the end of 2026
