The car modification scene in India has seen an upwards trend in recent years. Buying a car and giving it personalized touches just elevates the ownership experience. Today, we will cover one such Mahindra Scorpio-N Z4 which has been tastefully done along with a base to top conversion.

The project is carried out by Vig Auto Accessories and they have showcased the car on their YouTube channel. First of all, let’s talk about all the mods under the base to top conversion.

In the front profile of the SUV, the halogen reflector based headlights are replaced with top model’s LED projector based headlamps with matrix turn indicators. Additionally, fog lights with DRLs are installed. The stock grille has been painted to gloss black with chrome accents.

Changes in the side profile include the addition of 18 inch Mahindra genuine alloy wheels, C pillar chrome, waistline chrome, silver cladding, foot step and rain visor with chrome elements. Other than this, the ORVMs are modified to feature electric folding functionality.

Not many changes are done to the rear profile except the addition of bumper chrome and a reverse parking camera.

Now, let’s talk about the unique part which is the cabin of this Mahindra Scorpio-N. In the Z4 trim, the entire cabin is finished in hard plastic. The entire interior has been uplifted with a color combination of Glory Wine and Black.

Similar to the interior of the top end trims, the major part of the interior is leather wrapped in Glory Wine. This includes door pads, dashboard, armrest, door armrests, gear lever and leg rest. This subtle modification gives the cabin an extra premium vibe.

The host specially highlights the seat covers which are entirely done in Glory Wine with white wiping. He adds that the seat covers are made by them in house. Additional loadings in the cabin include glossy black interior styling kit, silver door handles and active ambient lighting on all four doors and the dashboard. The 7D mats fitted in this Scorpio-N also follow the same theme of Glory Wine and black.

Another unique thing which has been done in this SUV is the black roof liner. In all the projects we have covered, the roof liner is kept as it is but in this Scorpio-N modification, the roof liner has been finished in Alcantara like material and the pillars are painted to black. To add some contrast, the grab handles are painted to glossy black.

The host highlights the muscular flat bottom steering wheel which is installed in this SUV. This steering wheel features leather wrapped horn pad, multimedia controls and cruise control. Additionally, the steering wheel is half leather wrapped and half gloss black, adding to the luxury. To make the interior more premium, the instrument cluster surround, center console and the sunglass holder are finished in gloss black.

The Scorpio-N sold in India is available with two engine options – a 2 liter-4 cylinder turbo petrol with 197 Bhp-380 Nm and a 2.2 liter-4 cylinder turbo diesel engine in multiple states of tune ranging from 130 Bhp-300 Nm, all the way up to 172 Bhp-400 Nm. Rear wheel drive and four wheel drive options are available, along with 6 speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options.
