Mahindra Teases BE 6e And XEV 9e Electric SUVs Ahead Of November 26th Debut [Video]

Mahindra Automotive has released a brand-new teaser showing the final production-spec versions of its upcoming electric SUVs. These EV SUVs, which were named BE.05 and XUV.e9, have now been renamed to BE 6E and XEV 9E. Both of these electric SUVs have been designed based on the extremely futuristic and aggressive-looking concept models showcased a few years ago. They will finally be unveiled on November 26, 2024, in Chennai at the Mahindra Unlimit Event.
From the teaser, we can note that the company has kept the Mahindra BE 6E very close to the concept shown, maintaining its aggressive yet sharp styling. At the front, the BE 6E gets a split headlamp setup with a three-part LED DRL and LED headlights set on the lower portion.
The LED DRLs extend from one end of the front fascia to the other. There is also a closed-off grille and a new illuminated Mahindra logo on the front. As for the side profile, it gets a unique set of aero blade-style alloy wheels and a sloping roofline.
Meanwhile, at the rear, the SUV gets a similar LED taillight as the front DRL, extending from side to side. Another unique element of this SUV is that it will come equipped with a glass roof.
This teaser also gives us a glimpse of the interior of the Mahindra BE 6E. It is exactly the same as the spy shots shared a while ago. It can be observed that the overall focus of this interior is on the driver, just like a fighter jet’s cockpit.
There are two huge screens connected with each other. It also gets a rotary dial, a plastic panel that divides the driver and co-passenger sides of the cabin, and sleek AC vents that blend into the cabin. The BE 6E will also get a flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo.
At the moment, the exact powertrain information of this upcoming electric SUV from Mahindra has not been revealed. However, reportedly, the BE 6E will be offered with two battery pack options, as will be the case with the other EV SUVs based on the INGLO platform developed by Mahindra.
These batteries will be 60 kWh and 79 kWh units, offering a maximum range of 450 km (79 kWh battery pack). As for the competition, once launched, the Mahindra BE 6E will be positioned above the XUV400 and will take on rivals such as the Tata Curvv.ev, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, and the Maruti Suzuki eVX.
In addition to the BE 6E, Mahindra on November 26th will also be showcasing the XEV 9E. As mentioned, it is the XUV.e9, a coupe SUV based on the electric version of the Mahindra XUV700, the XUV.e8, which is yet to be launched. This new teaser reveals that it will get an equally aggressive design with a sharp body and front fascia.
At the front, the SUV comes equipped with C-shaped LED DRLs and headlights. On the side profile, it will also get a set of aero blade-style alloy wheels and flush-type door handles. It can be noted that the rear door handles will be hidden in the C-pillar.
It will also get a sloping roofline, and the rear door handles will be hidden in the C-pillar. Coming to the interior, the teaser has not revealed many details. However, most likely, it will be getting a three-screen setup. Like the BE 6E, it will also be based on Mahindra’s INGLO platform. The exact powertrain information will be revealed on November 26th.
