Mahindra Thar ROXX Visualised From All Angles [Video]
The entire country of India is buzzing with excitement for the launch of the Mahindra Thar Roxx. This five-door version of the popular lifestyle off-roader Thar is set to make its debut on August 15th. Now, prior to the official launch, this SUV has been shown in a number of different teasers released by the brand. However, there was no video that showed this upcoming SUV from all angles until now. Recently, a video rendering of the Mahindra Thar Roxx has been shared online.

It starts with the video showing glimpses of this SUV before showing a detailed look at the Roxx from all angles. Most likely, the real-life version will look like this rendered iteration.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Design Details
Starting at the front, the Mahindra Thar Roxx will boast a similar yet distinctive enough front fascia. It will get a brand-new grille which looks very premium. It still gets the traditional slats, but this time around, they have been divided into two sections, with the upper section being bigger and the lower one being smaller.
Additionally, it will also house the front camera and sensor for ADAS. Moving on, the SUV will come equipped with LED headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs from the factory. This is currently a popular modification done by Mahindra Thar three-door owners in India as that model comes with halogen headlights.
Moving on to the side profile, this particular rendered version gets a set of massive-looking wheels. However, the real-life version will be getting 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Also, there is a metal side step which could also make its way onto the final production version. Lastly, the major highlight of the side profile is the two middle doors.
The new Thar Roxx will come with a more practical bench-type seat in the middle. Lastly, the SUV will also be getting a very unique rear third-quarter window. Unlike traditional SUVs’ squarish windows, the Thar Roxx will come equipped with triangular windows. Lastly, the SUV will also come equipped with a spare tyre as well.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Interior
This particular render does not show the upcoming Thar Roxx’s interior. However, we know that it will be getting a similar layout as the three-door Thar. However, this time around, the company has thoroughly modernized the cabin with the addition of a 10.25-inch infotainment screen in the middle. This is the same screen which is seen on the XUV 3XO.
It will also come with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, the SUV will also get a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster as well. Other notable highlights of the Mahindra Thar Roxx will include keyless entry with push-button start, wireless phone charger, premium audio system, and dual-zone climate control. The most recent teaser of the Roxx has also shown that the SUV will come with a panoramic sunroof as well.
Powertrain Details
As for the powertrain options, the company will offer the Thar Roxx with multiple powertrain options. These will include the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the 3-door Thar RWD, producing around 117 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
There will also be a more powerful 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine from the Scorpio-N that will deliver 172-175 bhp and up to 400 Nm of torque. Additionally, a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine will provide 200-203 bhp and 370-380 Nm of torque.
Transmission options will include both manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. There will also be a choice between 4WD and 2WD layouts as well.
