Upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx 5 Door SUV’s Interiors Revealed In New Spy Video

Mahindra will officially launch the new Thar 5-door, also known as the Thar Roxx, in the market on August 15th. Mahindra has released multiple teaser videos of the upcoming Thar Roxx, giving us a fair idea of how the exterior of the SUV will look. We now have a new video showing the cabin of the new Mahindra Thar Roxx before its official launch.

The video has been shared by Plus Drive on their Instagram page. In this video, we see the interior of the soon-to-be-launched Mahindra Thar Roxx without camouflage. The SUV seen here is still camouflaged on the outside. However, the vlogger manages to get so close to the car that he captures the interior of the SUV in the video.

The video starts with the front seats and dashboard. The design of the dashboard looks similar to the 3-door version. The SUV seen here in the video appears to be a lower variant as it does not offer a panoramic sunroof. The steering wheel on this SUV is different. The Thar Roxx gets Mahindra’s new steering wheel, which we saw in the XUV 3OO. The seat colors have also changed.

It gets ice grey or ivory white-colored leatherette upholstery with the Roxx. The round AC vents and climate control switches can also be seen. We also see a large touchscreen infotainment system.

It is, in fact, larger than the 3-door version and offers more features. The SUV also comes with roof-mounted speakers, a twin-pod analog instrument cluster, and grab handles on the pillars.

The SUV gets rear AC vents, and the rear seat has three adjustable headrests. A center armrest is also integrated into the rear seat. We do not see any parcel shelf at the rear, which is helpful as we get a glimpse of the boot space. Compared to the 3-door version, the Thar Roxx has a decent amount of boot space.

The triangular quarter glass at the rear can also be seen in the video. The SUV looks spacious and airy, especially because of the light-colored interiors. The Mahindra Thar Roxx has a design similar to the 3-door variant. The SUV gets horseshoe-shaped LED DRLs with projector lights at the front.

The front grille is different, and the bumper looks muscular with integrated fog lamps. The Roxx gets a longer wheelbase, and the rear doors have handles integrated into the pillar. The rear of the SUV looks the same as the regular Thar with a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and LED tail lamps. The design of the alloy wheels is also different.

Mahindra will offer three engine options. There will be a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine for the lower variants. Additionally, the higher version will be offered with a 2.2-liter mHawk turbo diesel engine and a 2.0-liter mStallion turbo petrol engine. Both these engine options will be available with manual and automatic transmission options. Mahindra will launch the Thar Roxx in both 4×4 and RWD versions. As usual we expect Mahindra to price the SUV quite aggressively.
