John Abraham's Favourite Feature Now Available On The Mahindra Thar ROXX: 3 Big Updates [Video]
Mahindra launched the Thar Roxx in the market last year and it became an instant hit among customers. Just like most modern Mahindra cars, Thar Roxx is a premium 5-door SUV which comes with several features. The SUV became so popular that even Bollywood actor John Abraham decided to get one for himself. The actor got a customised Thar Roxx with more features than the standard version. However, these features were later updated to the regular model as well. Here we have a video that shows the updated Thar Roxx with these 3 new features.
The video has been shared by Avtansh Singh on his YouTube channel. The vlogger shows the AX7 L Diesel Manual version of the Thar Roxx in this video. The SUV is the top-end version which is loaded with features and it also gets the updated features in it. The SUV remains the same as before and nothing has changed in terms of design in the SUV.
The updated features in the Roxx are request sensors for both driver and co-passenger doors. The door handle design remains the same flap-type units but, they have integrated a request sensor to make the lives of the customers much more convenient.
The next feature is the wiper. Mahindra is now offering aerodynamic flat wipers. This would help in reducing the wind noise while the car is in motion. The third feature is in the cabin. Mahindra is now offering a sliding armrest which wasn’t available before.
Apart from these new features, everything else about the Mahindra Thar Roxx remains the same. The SUV gets all the features like dual-function ring-type LED DRLs, projector headlamps, dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels and so on.
It comes with a long list of premium features like ventilated seats, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, and more. Mahindra initially launched the Roxx with ivory-coloured interiors. While this shade did look premium and made the cabin look airy, it is actually an extremely difficult shade to maintain in Indian conditions.
The chances of getting the upholstery dirty are pretty high and people would end up going for a seat cover over the leatherette seats. In order to resolve this issue, Mahindra started offering mocha brown and black dual-tone shade interiors for the 4x variants of the Thar Roxx.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Mahindra is, in fact, offering the Roxx as a 2WD option as standard, while the 4x4 feature is available as an option with the higher-level diesel versions. The petrol variant doesn’t get this option currently.
The petrol version of the Thar Roxx is powered by a 2.0-liter mStallion turbocharged engine that generates 174 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version uses a 2.2-liter mHawk turbocharged engine that generates 172 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options of the Thar Roxx come with manual and automatic transmission options.
