Over the last few years, the name of Mahindra Thar has become synonymous with off-roading in India. All-New Extended Profile

Before we talk about the most prominent change in the Mahindra Thar five-door, it has to be mentioned that the company has named it the Thar Roxx. This has been done to differentiate the Thar five-door from the three-door model. Now, as we all are aware, the main highlight of the new Thar Roxx will be the addition of two extra doors.

These new doors will enhance the accessibility to the rear seats, which was a tough task in a three-door model. This update has also allowed Mahindra to stretch the wheelbase, resulting in better interior space. The new Thar measures 4,070 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,895 mm in height.

Enhanced Everyday Usability

What this new extension of the wheelbase and addition of two doors will facilitate is that it will become a lot more practical. Along with being a robust off-road SUV, the Roxx will also focus on everyday family usage.

Exterior Updates

Now, coming to the design details of the Mahindra Thar Roxx that we know so far. The SUV will get a set of brand-new LED headlights with integrated DRLs. As for the rear, it will get a set of newly redesigned taillights and blacked-out door handles. Like the three-door Thar, the Roxx will also get a spare tyre in the rear.

Interior Updates

As for the interior, from all the teasers that we have seen, it has been noted that the Thar Roxx will get beige upholstery with rear seats accommodating three passengers. The main dashboard layout will be kept the same, but it will be getting a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the newly launched Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Other notable features on the interior of the Thar Roxx will be a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, keyless entry with push-button start, wireless phone charger, premium audio system, and dual-zone climate control. The most recent teaser of the Roxx has also shown that the SUV will come with a panoramic sunroof as well.
