Mahindra Thar ROXX TVC Out: Have You Watched It Yet?

After building a lot of anticipation, Mahindra has finally launched the 5 door Thar: The Thar ROXX. This extended version of the 3 door Thar comes with a lot of cosmetic upgrades along with additional 2 doors. The TVC of the off road focused lifestyle SUV was uploaded on the official channel by the name of Mahindra Thar.

The TVC is titled “The SUV is here” indicating that the car has finally launched. The 40 second long TVC starts with crowd cheering which highlights the crazy demand for both the 3 door and 5 door Thar.

As the SUV is unveiled, shocking reaction can be seen on the face of the crowd. The car can be seen landing on the stage and the crowd starts cheering up once again. The TVC beautifully highlights some of the key elements of the Thar ROXX which includes 19 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps with C shaped DRLs and the updated grille. Both the interior and the exterior of the SUV are shown.

In contrast to the 3 door Thar, the Thar ROXX comes loaded with modern day equipment. This includes a Harman Kardon music system, a bigger 10.25 inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster and much more.

Additionally, the SUV gets a black and beige cabin instead of an all black cabin. Further enhancing the luxury is the leather wrapped dashboard and the leather wrapped door pads, all of which were missed in the 3 door Thar.

After highlighting the features, the TVC shows the Thar ROXX being driven in a hilly road. It can be noticed that the rear door handles are positioned next to the window. Similar handle placement was seen in the last generation Swift.

As the car drives, the camera angle shows the passengers enjoying the vehicle. The focus shifts to the new grille and brand new headlights. Various angles of the SUV driving through the mountains are shown in the TVC.

Overall, the design of the Thar ROXX looks quite good. It follows the same design language as the 3 door Thar but with more modern and stylish elements.

Engine options in the new Thar ROXX incudes a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 160bhp and 330Nm of torque and a 2.2-litre four cylinder diesel engine generating 150bhp and 330Nm of torque. Customers can choose from six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.

The starting prices for the SUV are already revealed and the base petrol trim with the manual transmission is priced at Rs. 12.99 lakh while the diesel manual base trim is Rs. 1 lakh expensive, priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh. Please note that these prices are of the 4×2 versions.

Meanwhile, here’s the full price list for the 2024 Mahindra Thar ROXX. Prices for the 4X4 variants will be revealed soon. Test drives will commence from 14th September while bookings open on 3rd October. Deliveries will commence from Dusshera.
