Mahindra XEV 9e And BE6 Bookings Open Today: Variants, Prices And Delivery Details

Finally, after keeping the public waiting for so long, Mahindra Automotive has officially opened the bookings for its born-electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9E. Both of these SUVs can now be reserved by either visiting a Mahindra dealership or the brand’s official website. The BE 6 and XEV 9E are based on Mahindra’s INGLO electric skateboard architecture and come with a powerful electric motor that makes 282 bhp. They also get two battery pack options—59 kWh and 79 kWh. Here are other details of these SUVs, including pricing, variants, and delivery timelines.

Mahindra BE 6: Details

First off, let’s talk about the Mahindra BE 6 mid-size electric SUV. This unique and futuristic-looking SUV will boast C-shaped LED DRLs, a bonnet with a massive air scoop, an overall athletic design, and a ton of features. The BE 6 is being offered in five variants, which start from Rs 18.9 lakh and go up to Rs 26.9 lakh.

The base variant of the BE 6 is the Pack One, which comes only with the 59 kWh battery pack, and its deliveries will commence in August of this year. Its main highlight features include dual 12.3-inch displays, auto AC, cooled center console, 65W Type-C charging ports, cruise control, four speakers and two tweeters, six airbags, rain-sensing wipers, and many others.

Then, there is the Pack One Above variant, which is priced at Rs 20.50 lakh, and its deliveries will also commence in August. It gets all the features offered in the Pack One. However, it also gets 19-inch aeroblade-style alloy wheels, a fixed panoramic glass roof, a wireless charger, dual-zone automatic climate control, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a rear defogger.

The Pack Two variant is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh, and deliveries will start in July of this year. This variant gets additional features such as sequential turn indicators, a digital key, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Level 2+ ADAS, and front parking sensors. Next up is the Pack Three Select variant, which is priced at Rs 24.5 lakh, and deliveries will start in June.

This variant will come with features such as six-way electrically adjustable seats, ventilated front seats, auto-folding ORVMs, a powered tailgate, keyless entry, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera with a blind-spot monitoring system, auto park assist, and a selfie camera.

Lastly, the Pack Three variant is priced at Rs 26.9 lakh, and its deliveries will commence in mid-March. It gets additional features such as multi-color ambient lighting, a VisionX augmented reality head-up display, and illuminated elements on a fixed panoramic glass roof.

Mahindra XEV 9E: Details

As for the Mahindra XEV 9E, this model is being offered in four variants. The base Pack One is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh, and its deliveries will commence in August. It will come equipped with features such as LED headlights with connected LED DRLs, 19-inch wheels with covers, fabric upholstery, and a height-adjustable driver seat.

It will also get cooled console storage, drive modes, cruise control, cabin pre-cooling, push-button start, auto AC, triple 12.3-inch screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers and two tweeters. As for safety, it will get six airbags, an electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors and camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Next up is the Pack Two variant, which is priced at Rs 24.9 lakh, and its deliveries will commence in July. It gets additional features over the Pack One variant, which include 19-inch alloy wheels, sequential turn indicators, front fog lamps, powered ORVMs, a fixed panoramic glass roof, leatherette seat upholstery, a wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, six-way electrically adjustable seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Level 2+ ADAS, TPMS, and front parking sensors.

The third variant in the lineup is the Pack Three Select. It is priced at Rs 27.9 lakh, and its deliveries will start in June of this year. Additional features of this variant include front ventilated seats, keyless entry, auto parking, a selfie camera, dual wireless chargers, and a 360-degree reverse camera.

Lastly, the Pack Three variant of the XEV 9E is priced at Rs 30.50 lakh, and its deliveries will start in mid-March. This variant gets features such as ambient lighting, puddle lamps, a VisionX augmented reality head-up display, and Level 2+ ADAS with five radars and one camera.

Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E: Powertrain Options

Both SUVs’ lower variants get electric motors that make 228 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the higher variants get a more powerful setup that makes 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. They both also get two battery pack options of 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The BE 6 with a 59 kWh battery offers 535 km of range and 682 km with a 79 kWh battery pack.

Meanwhile, the XEV 9E with the 59 kWh battery offers 542 km of range, and with the 79 kWh battery pack, it offers 656 km of range. Both cars get 175 kW fast-charging capabilities, which can take the battery from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Also, with the 11.2 kW charger, they will take eight hours to fully charge, and with the 7.3 kW charger, it will take 11.7 hours. Both charging times are for the 79 kWh battery pack.
