Mahindra launched the electric SUV XEV 9E in the market last year. The official deliveries of the EVs started this year, and we all know that the electric SUVs received an overwhelming response from buyers. Mahindra is now planning to expand the XEV 9E variants to probably make the cars a lot more accessible to buyers.

As per the images shared by 91 Wheels on their website, Mahindra has applied for trademarks for the new variants, and the leaked image gives us an idea of what to expect in the upcoming variants.

According to the leaked trademark filings, Mahindra will be introducing 6 new variants. Currently, the Mahindra XEV 9E comes in Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three variants. The first three variants get a 59 kWh battery pack, while the top-end Pack Three gets a 79 kWh version.

Mahindra wants to improve this and offer more variants with these two battery pack options. As per the leaked document, the XEV 9E will be getting four new variants with a 59 kWh battery pack and two variants with a 79 kWh battery pack.

The names of the new variants are: Pack One 59 kWh, Pack Two 59 kWh, Pack Three 59 kWh, Pack Three Select 59 kWh, Pack Three 79 kWh, and Pack Three Select 79 kWh. With the introduction of these variants, the Mahindra XEV 9E is likely to become slightly more affordable, and customers would also get more options to choose from.

If you are looking for a fully loaded version of the XEV 9E with the larger battery pack, you already had the Pack Three option. However, now the same features can be had with a smaller battery version too. The smaller 59 kWh battery pack variant with all the features will be priced lower than the bigger battery version.

At the moment, all the variants of the Mahindra XEV 9E are only available with an RWD setup. Although Mahindra’s EVs are capable of getting the dual-motor setup, Mahindra has not launched them yet. The upcoming variants are expected to be introduced in the XUV 9E in the coming weeks, and an official announcement will also be made about the same.

After the XEV 9E, we can expect a similar treatment for the smaller BE.06 as well.

Other features include VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.
