The Mahindra XEV 9E has taken the country by storm and has become one of the most popular electric vehicles in India. The company started its deliveries back in March, and since then, over 6,300 units of the XEV 9E and BE 6 have been delivered by the brand. Recently, a couple from Faridabad have shared their experience of buying and owning the Mahindra XEV 9E.

It starts with the host introducing the Mahindra XEV 9E and the couple who owns this vehicle. He highlights that this family is an already electric-only family, as they own two other electric cars. After the introduction, the vlogger starts questioning the couple about this EV SUV.
Why did they choose the Mahindra XEV 9E?
The first question which the host asked the couple was about the decision to buy the XEV 9E. He questioned whether they knew they wanted to buy an EV SUV or they had other options in their mind. To this, the couple highlighted that they already have a Mahindra XUV400 EV and a Tata Tigor EV sedan. But as these vehicles have limited and shorter ranges, they wanted an EV which has a lot more range.
So, for this reason, they bought their XEV 9E, and they highlighted that in the last two months, they have done a few long road trips. Further elaborating their experience, the couple stated that they have not faced any problem during long road trips, as they plan ahead of time and map out the chargers that they have to use.
What is the real-world range?
Following this, the host asks the couple about the real-world range which they are getting and others can expect. To this, the owner replied that they get a real-world range of around 450–500 km in a single full charge. He then added that depending upon the driving style, some people can also get a range up to 550 km. However, if the vehicle is constantly driven aggressively, the range also reduces.
Apart from this, he added that so far they have been getting excellent range. The owner added that any person who uses the EV for daily driving as well can save a lot of time and money with charging the vehicle overnight at home. He added that his fuel bill has reduced significantly. Next up, the couple was asked about the ownership cost of this SUV and their other electric cars.
To this, they replied that the service cost of the XEV 9E, as well as their other electric vehicles, is very low, and they have saved a ton of money. He added that they owned an XUV500 which, each time it went for service, came back with a Rs 20,000 bill. Overall, the couple stated that they are extremely happy with the XEV 9E and would suggest it to anyone who is looking to buy a large EV SUV which can offer all the creature comforts of a luxury vehicle.
