The XEV 9e is the second of Mahindra’s highly anticipated Born Electric SUVs that premiered along with the Be 6. It is essentially the electric coupe based on Mahindra XUV 700. This similarity can be seen in multiple areas of its design and cabin. Mahindra has now revealed the variant details and prices for all its variants. The XEV 9e is available in four trims- Pack ONE, Pack TWO, PACK THREE Select and Pack THREE. The base variant- Pack ONE has a starting price of 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Let’s see what each of these trims has to offer.

As is the case with the BE6, the first three variants- Pack ONE, TWO and THREE Select use the 59 kWh battery pack, and thus have 231hp and 380Nm on offer, channelled to the rear wheels. These are claimed to offer an MIDC range of 542km. These can be had with the 7.2kW and 11.2kW AC chargers. The Pack THREE gets the larger 79 kWh battery pack and thus has 286hp and 380Nm on tap. The range here is 656km per charge.

Mahindra XEV 9e Pack ONE

This is the entry-spec variant. It rides on 19-inch wheels with aero covers. It gets bi-LED headlamps with DRLs and LED tail lamps. There is even an illuminated logo on offer. Pack One gets automatic headlamps and wipers as well.

The feature list is well-populated. It includes the likes of selectable brake regen and drive modes, variable ratio power steering, rear disc brakes, brake-by-wire technology, triple screen cluster- three 12.3-inch screens – one each of passenger entertainment, central infotainment and instrumentation, rear camera and parking sensors, connected car technology, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, External device compatibility for rear seat passengers, Built-in Amazon Alexa, 6 speaker audio system (4 speakers and 2 tweeters), Auto climate control and rear AC vents, Keyless entry and go, Cooled glove box, Front and rear 65W Type C ports, second-row recline with 60:40 split-folding function, Driver’s seat height and seat belt adjust, tilt and telescopic steering adjust, cruise control. The cabin gets fabric upholstery as well. The frunk offers a capacity of 150 litres.

Mahindra XEV 9e Pack Two

Over the Pack ONE, this variant gets a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite with 1 radar module and 1 camera, Adaptive cruise control, Individual tyre pressure display for TMPS, Auto-dimming IRVM, Auto windshield defogger, Front parking sensors, Front wireless smartphone charging, 6-way driver’s seat power adjust with 2-way manual lumbar adjust, Auto-fold ORVMs with auto tilt on reverse, Dual-zone climate control system and Rear seat mounts for external devices.

The interior gets a leatherette seat and steering upholstery, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos. In the exterior design, this variant has LED DRLs with a centre signature lamp, sequential turn indicators and start-up lighting sequence, front fog lamps with cornering function, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

XEV 9e Pack THREE Select

The pack THREE Select gets an adaptive suspension setup, Auto park assist function, 7 airbags, Blind Spot Monitor, electric flush type door handles, 360-degree cameras with live recording, keyless entry, powered tailgate with gesture control and more. The interior gets leatherette door and dash trims. The infotainment engine is powered by Qualcomm 8295 Snapdragon chipset with 24GB RAM and 128GB storage. Other features include video calling, rear wireless charger, front ventilated seats, second-row sunshades, one-touch driver-side power window, and BOSS mode for the front passenger seat.

In addition to the features offered on the pack THREE Select, the range-topping Pack THREE gets interior ambient lighting and carpet lamps, level 2 ADAS suite with 5 radar modules and 1 camera, auto lane change and lane keep assist, front and rear cross traffic alerts, and an AR HUD.
