Mahindra XUV 3XO Gets A Price Cut: Details

India’s one of the biggest SUV manufacturers, Mahindra, recently reduced the price of the AX5 petrol variant of the XUV 3XO SUV. Mahindra has reduced the price by Rs 20,000 on this variant. This has made the petrol AX5 variant slightly more affordable and better value for money for buyers. The reason why Mahindra has reduced the prices is because of the recent introduction of the REVX trims.

The newly launched REVX A variant is positioned between the AX5 and AX5 L variants. Prices for the XUV 3XO REVX variants start at Rs 8.94 lakh (ex-showroom) and go all the way up to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The price cut mentioned above is applicable only on the petrol manual and automatic versions of the AX5 trims.

The Mahindra AX5 variant comes with a decent number of features. It gets C-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlamps, a gloss black front grille with chrome accents, a dual-tone bumper with a faux skid plate, and more. It also gets 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and connected LED tail lamps, but it misses out on fog lamps.

On the inside, the AX5 gets black and white dual-tone interiors with fabric seats and adjustable headrests for all passengers. A fully digital instrument cluster, multi-function three-spoke steering wheel, and a touchscreen infotainment system are also offered in this variant.

The popular electric sunroof is also available in this variant. The higher variants get a panoramic sunroof, while the AX5 gets a single-pane unit. Mahindra is offering a decent number of features like a 6-speaker sound system, six airbags, a rear parking camera with sensors, and electronic stability control. The higher variants get a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and many more features.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is available in three engine options. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine generates 112 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The 1.2-litre T-GDi turbo petrol engine generates 130 PS and 230 Nm of peak torque. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine generates 117 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque.

The diesel variant is offered with manual and AMT gearboxes, while the turbo petrol engines come with manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. With the Rs 20,000 discount, the price for the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 petrol has come down to Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual and Rs 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for the automatic variant.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is a sub-4 meter SUV that rivals the likes of the Skoda Kushaq, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue in its segment.

It is actually an extremely safe car with a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test. Since its launch a year ago, Mahindra has managed to sell over 1 lakh units of the XUV 3XO. The recently launched REVX variants are available in REVX M, REVX M (O), and REVX A variants. These variants are only available with petrol engine options. Both TCMPFi and T-GDi petrol variants are available in the REVX lineup.
