Mahindra is currently working on a variety of products. They have big plans to expand their electric car portfolio, and we already know that all their upcoming models are going to be SUVs. Spy pictures of Mahindra’s upcoming EVs often surface online, and we have featured many of them on our website in the past. We now have a new set of images and videos showing the large boot and interiors of the upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV.

The video has been shared by 91 Wheels on their Instagram page. It was sent to them by one of their followers. The Mahindra XUV.e9 was spotted testing in Salem, Tamil Nadu. In the video, we see a couple of heavily camouflaged Mahindra EVs parked outside a property. There are people around the car who are covering the BE.05, a smaller electric SUV from Mahindra.

Right next to the BE.05 is the XUV.e9. We have spotted the SUV several times in the past, but this time we see the massive boot space of this EV. It is a 5-seater electric SUV with a coupe design. As this SUV has a coupe design, it comes with a wide-opening boot. The tailgate and the rear glass are a single unit, which opens up a lot of space.

We also get a glimpse of the second-row seats. The SUV will get split seats, which would make things more convenient. The seats are reclinable, which is something the occupants will appreciate. In the pictures, we see a small black button on the tailgate, which could mean that the tailgate can be opened and closed electrically.

Other than the boot space, we also have interior pictures of the XUV.e9. Just like the Mahindra XUV700, the XUV.e9 gets ice-grey colored seats and interior panels. The seats look perforated, which means Mahindra might offer a seat ventilation feature. We also get a glimpse of the center console and dashboard.

The electric SUV gets a new type of gear shifter, which is partially finished in gloss while the rest is leather-wrapped. The rotary knob to control the infotainment system can also be seen next to it, along with an electronic parking brake. Mahindra is offering a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the center.

The dashboard has a triple screen setup. Two of these screens are for infotainment, and the third one is a fully digital instrument cluster. We have seen the exterior of the XUV.e9 in the past, and just like the previous images, the SUV gets an XUV700-inspired front fascia. There are sharp-looking triangular design elements for the headlamps with projector lights in them.

The rear features a sleek-looking connected LED bar that runs across the edge of the boot. Mahindra is expected to offer premium features like ADAS with the upcoming EVs. The Mahindra XUV.e9 is built on the INGLO platform, a skateboard platform that we will see in most upcoming Mahindra EVs.

Technical specifications of the SUV are not confirmed yet; however, we expect this e-SUV to come with a 450-500 km range battery pack with a powerful single and dual-motor setup depending on the variants. Mahindra is expected to launch this all-new EV in the market next year.
