Waiting For The Mahindra XUV700 Facelift This Year? Big Update!

Mahindra launched its XUV700 in 2021, and since then, it has been one of the most popular SUVs in its segment. The XUV700 has been consistently performing well every month, and the best part about this SUV is that even after three years of its launch, it doesn’t feel outdated. It still feels fresh, and there have been reports that Mahindra is planning a facelift for the XUV700 this year. If you have been one of those persons who is waiting for the XUV700 this year, there is sad news for you. Our sources have confirmed to us that Mahindra doesn't have any plans to launch the XUV700 facelift this year.
This year, Mahindra launched the Ebony Edition of the XUV700 in the market, and a walkaround video of the same is also available on our YouTube channel. Our Sources have told us that the Ebony Edition is the last update for the XUV700 and that they won’t be introducing a facelift this year.
While the manufacturer confirmed that they won’t be launching the facelift this year, they didn’t say anything about introducing an updated version next year. They mentioned that the facelift was not on the cards this year, and we assume this might happen sometime next year.
As mentioned above, the Mahindra XUV700 doesn’t feel outdated even after 43 months since its initial launch. The SUV was the most feature-loaded vehicle manufactured by an Indian automaker at the time.
It was packed with premium features and was, in fact, the first SUV in its segment to offer smart flush door handles, Level 2 ADAS, dual-zone climate control, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with a memory function, booster headlamps, and many more. Some of these features are still class-leading, as no other manufacturer has managed to introduce them in their models.
Even after several years since its launch, the Mahindra XUV700 still looks fresh. It boasts a premium yet rugged SUV stance on the outside. The large grille, with brushed aluminum inserts instead of the usual chrome, gives it a clean look. Mahindra offers premium features like leatherette upholstery, seat ventilation, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a similarly sized fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, and more.
The XUV700 comes with options for both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version of the XUV700 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged mStallion series petrol engine. This engine generates 200 PS and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version of the SUV is powered by a 2.2-liter mHawk turbocharged engine, available in two states of tune. In the lower variants, this engine generates 152 BHP and 360 Nm of peak torque. In the higher variants, it generates 182 BHP and 450 Nm of peak torque.
Both petrol and diesel versions of the XUV700 deliver segment-leading power and torque. These SUVs are available with both manual and automatic transmission options. In fact, the Mahindra XUV700 is the only SUV in this segment to offer an AWD option in the top-end AX7 and AX7 L diesel automatic variants.
The recently launched Ebony Edition features blacked-out interiors and exteriors. This version is available exclusively with the AX7 and AX7 L variants. Mahindra has equipped the XUV700 with so many features that it still doesn’t feel outdated, despite new competitors entering the segment. We’ll have to wait and see what more Mahindra might offer if they ever launch a facelifted version of the XUV700 in the market.
