Maruti Suzuki has officially launched a new edition of their popular premium hatchback, the Baleno, in the market. Maruti is calling this new edition the “Regal Edition.” With this Regal Edition, Maruti is preparing for the festive season. The Regal Edition is available in all four variants of the Baleno. The Maruti Baleno is one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in its segment and competes with cars like the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.

The Regal Edition is available with the Alpha, Zeta, Delta, and Sigma variants of the Baleno. The Regal Edition is essentially an accessorized version of the standard Baleno hatchback. It comes with a complimentary accessory kit worth Rs 45,829 to Rs 60,199, depending on the variant. The accessories vary based on the variant you choose.

On the exterior, the Maruti Baleno gets cosmetic changes such as a garnish on the front grille, a front underbody spoiler, fog lamp garnish, rear underbody spoiler, back door garnish, body side molding, and door visors.

Inside, the Regal Edition Baleno gets new seat covers, an interior styling kit, window curtains, and all-weather mats. The hatchback also includes door sill guards as part of the package.

These accessories are worth the mentioned amount, and Maruti is offering them complimentary with the Baleno Regal Edition. Customers can opt for these accessories separately from dealerships, but in that case, the price of the accessories and installation charges would be separate.

The Maruti Baleno is a premium hatchback and comes equipped with a decent number of features. The current version of the Baleno was launched a few years ago. It includes features such as a floating-type 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, ABS, 6 airbags, EBD, a high-speed alert system, and more.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is available with a petrol engine only. The car is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 88 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. In addition to the petrol version, a CNG version of the Baleno is also available. The CNG version uses the same engine but generates 76 Bhp and 99 Nm of peak torque. The petrol version of the hatchback is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option, while the CNG version is only available with a manual gearbox option.

Maruti Suzuki is offering the Regal Edition with both petrol and CNG versions. The price for a brand-new Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback starts at Rs 6.66 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 9.83 lakh.

In response to the rising popularity of crossovers and SUVs, Maruti launched a beefed-up version of the Baleno with cosmetic changes last year. The crossover version of the Baleno is called the Fronx, and it became an instant hit among buyers. The crossover is available with a 1.0-liter Boosterjet and a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine option. People appreciated the SUV or crossover-like styling of the Fronx, and this was reflected in the sales figures.

In just 17.3 months after its launch, Maruti sold over 2 lakh units of the Fronx. It was the first model from Maruti to achieve the 1 lakh sales mark within 10 months of its launch. The price of the Fronx starts at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 13.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
