The largest carmaker in India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is also soon going to join the EV party in the country with the launch of the e-Vitara. The first electric offering from the brand will be launched in the country next month. However, prior to its official launch, a few new key details about the e-Vitara have now emerged. As per the tests done on the internationally launched e-Vitara, it has been reported that this EV SUV is very quick, and when launched in India, it will become the fastest offering from Maruti Suzuki.
As per the new reports, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will boast a 0–100 kmph time of 7.4 seconds, making it the quickest Maruti Suzuki vehicle. It has to be noted that this particular 0–100 kmph sprint time is for the 61 kWh battery pack variant, which will come with an AWD system. This variant makes 184 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. As for the range, the reported WLTP range of the e-Vitara will be around 412 km for the AWD variant.
In addition to this, the 61 kWh battery pack variant with the 2WD layout will be able to reach from 0–100 kmph in just 8.7 seconds.
