Maruti Fronx Gets A Big 77,000 Rupee Discount
This monsoon season, apart from the rains from the skies, we are witnessing rains of discounts from Maruti Suzuki. The company has now announced that it will be offering massive discounts on its popular crossover, Fronx. These discounts will offer total benefits of up to Rs 77,000. This offer will help the already popular Fronx compete more aggressively within the crowded sub-compact SUV segment despite it being a crossover.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Discount Details
The country’s largest carmaker is offering discounts on the unsold Turbo variants of the Fronx. These benefits have now been raised to Rs 77,000. This is an increase of Rs 20,000 from previous offers.
At the moment, the buyers of the standard petrol versions will enjoy only additional benefits of Rs 5,000, which brings the total discounts up to Rs 32,500. On the other hand, the CNG-powered variants continue to receive discounts of up to Rs 12,000.
Newly Launched Fronx Velocity Edition
Just a while ago, in order to boost the sales of the Fronx, the company introduced the new Velocity Edition special edition with a starting price of Rs 7.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Velocity Edition is available for a limited period and covers all 14 variants of the Fronx.
These variants include the 1.0L turbo and 1.2L naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine options. The Velocity Edition offers a slightly sportier look with standard accessories. The Fronx Velocity Edition boasts a variety of aesthetic upgrades. These include a red and grey style kit, black and red front and rear bumper garnishes, and illuminated door sill guards, among others.
Depending on the variant, the company is offering additional features such as a 9-inch touchscreen Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also gets wireless smartphone charging, a semi-digital instrument console, Head-Up Display with turn-by-turn navigation, and a 360-degree camera.
Currently, the Fronx itself has no direct competitor except for its badge-engineered model, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor. However, in terms of pricing, it collides with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite in the country.
Grand Vitara Discounts
In addition to the Fronx, Maruti Suzuki is also offering significant discounts on its flagship compact SUV, the Grand Vitara. The company is offering variable discounts that vary by variant. Currently, the maximum benefit on the Grand Vitara reaches up to Rs 1.39 lakh for the strong hybrid variant.
These benefits include a Rs 50,000 consumer discount, an exchange or scrappage discount of up to Rs 55,000, a corporate discount of Rs 4,000, and an additional discount of Rs 30,000. The Sigma petrol variant gets a maximum discount of Rs 74,000. On the other hand, the Delta petrol variant gets Rs 79,000, and the Zeta and Alpha variants receive a Rs 69,000 discount.
Jimny Discounts Are Back
Lastly, Maruti Suzuki has also reintroduced discounts on the Jimny. These discounts, which were offered in November of last year, are now back to boost the sales of the Jimny in the country. Maruti Suzuki is offering the Jimny with discounts up to Rs 2.5 lakh. The Zeta variant receives a Rs 50,000 discount. Meanwhile, the Alpha variant’s discount has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh.
